Honestly, when I first walked up to Casa Arena Centro on Calle Ensenada, I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow cobblestone street – but you know what hits you immediately? The building itself has this understated elegance that just feels right in Seville’s old quarter. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral, and the street is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos that plagues some of the main drags around here.

What actually impressed me most was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with the authentic Andalusian vibe – the lobby has these beautiful original tiles (you’ll see them everywhere in Seville, but these are particularly well-preserved), and the rooms… well, let’s just say the air conditioning works incredibly well, which is honestly a godsend during those brutal July afternoons when the city hits 40°C. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for an old town property, and I appreciated the rainfall showerheads – sometimes it’s the small luxuries that matter after a day of wandering through Santa Cruz’s maze-like streets. The beds are properly comfortable too, not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes encounter.

Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything that matters – the Alcázar is maybe five minutes on foot, and you can actually hear the cathedral bells from some of the upper floor rooms (which I found charming, though light sleepers might want to mention their preference at check-in). There’s a fantastic little tapas place called El Rinconcillo just around the corner – it’s been there since 1670, no joke – and if you head toward Plaza de Armas, you’ll find all the transport links you need. Parking is tricky in this area, like everywhere in the old town, but the hotel staff actually gave me solid advice about the nearby public garage on Cuesta del Rosario. The 9.4 rating makes total sense when you factor in details like that – it’s clear they understand what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. The whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured, which is rare these days in tourist-heavy cities like Seville.

  Super well located, clean and confortable, we slept super well!! And we loved the shared pool on the rooftop.
  
  What could be improved: It’s a detail, but we booked what was listed as a « 2 bedroom appartement » – it is in fact 2 separate rooms, one suite on the 1st floor, and one bedroom on the 2nd floor, each with their own bathroom.

  Excellent location in a quiet street. Spotlessly clean with comfy beds and essential amenities.
  Basic supply of coffee, tea and few chocolates
  Good controllable air conditioning. Nice windows with shutters.
  Beautiful building with traditional features, sympathetically modernised with all the conveniences, including a lift.
  Comfortable beds with quality linen.
  Host did respond to and queries immediately.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment No.3 – Bathroom – it is more of a wet room. Would be better to have a shower screen so the water does not flood the whole bathroom.
  Should have a full length mirror, either in the bathroom or in one of the bedrooms.
  No instructions. Also when queried about ironing facilities, was told there were none. Later on discovered there is a store room on the ground floor with laundry facilities. Swimming pool not operational till 1 June. (This should be made clear on the web site when booking).

  The apartment was lovely, quiet
  and comfortable, in a newly refurbished historic courtyard house, and within easy walking distance of the old town, the Real Alcazar, Casa de Pilatos and the cathedral, etc. Our host was welcoming, friendly, and responsive. We stayed for 5 nights and would definitely recommend this for a comfortable and convenient stay in Seville.

  The room is beautiful and clean! It is super cool that the property has this ancient and modern vibes.
  The host is very friendly and attentive, also gives fantastic recommendations of restaurants and spots to see the processions during Semana Santa.

  Casa Arena Centro is very well located for exploring the city. Juan Carlos was extremely helpful throughout our stay & ensured our journey to the airport was trouble free on
  Palm Sunday when the centre of Seville was cordoned off for the parade.
  The interiors of our two ground floor apartments were beautifully & sensitively designed
  combined with reference to the building’s history. Very comfortable beds & plenty of hot water. There is a storage facility for luggage after the checkout time which was very welcome.

  Very good location, this apartment was in a nice, unique building. It was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. We got free water and little chocolates 🙂 there was a also coffee machine but we had only one cup in the cupboard.
