Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Goles? Walking up to this place on Calle Goles, I was expecting another touristy hotel trying too hard to be boutique, but honestly – this place gets it right. The building itself has that authentic Sevillian charm without feeling like it’s performing for tourists, if that makes sense. The entrance is understated, almost like you’re walking into someone’s beautifully restored family home rather than a hotel lobby.
The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. You’re literally a three-minute walk to the Cathedral (I timed it), but Calle Goles is tucked away enough that you’re not hearing tour groups at 7 AM. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality – there’s a tiny bar called El Rinconcillo just around the corner that’s been serving tapas since 1670, and honestly, half the locals don’t even know about it. The hotel staff mentioned it casually during check-in, which tells you they actually know their neighborhood rather than just reciting script.
What really impressed me was how they handle the details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere. The rooms have proper blackout curtains (crucial in Seville where the sun is relentless), and the air conditioning actually works – not always a given in restored buildings. The WiFi is solid throughout, even in the courtyard where you’ll probably end up spending your evenings with a drink. Speaking of the courtyard, it’s one of those spaces that photographs well but also feels good to be in, which is rarer than you’d think. The tiles are original but they’ve added modern touches that don’t clash – comfortable seating, good lighting for reading, plants that look like someone actually waters them.
I mean, with a 9.6 rating you expect things to be pretty dialed in, but what surprised me was how effortless it all felt. Check-in was quick, they had genuine recommendations (not just the usual suspects), and when I mentioned I was hoping to catch some flamenco, they pointed me toward a spot in Triana that locals actually go to. The breakfast situation is solid too – nothing fancy, but proper jamón, good coffee, and they don’t rush you out even when things get busy.
The only minor thing I’d mention is that rooms facing the street can get a bit of noise from delivery trucks early in the morning – it’s the old town, so that’s just reality. But honestly, request a courtyard room and you’re golden. The whole place has this relaxed confidence that comes from knowing they’re doing things right without needing to oversell it. It’s the kind of spot where you’d feel comfortable bringing your parents or planning a romantic weekend, and that balance is harder to achieve than most places realize.

Large spacious apartment with plenty of room for a big family . Supermarket across the road made it very convenient to get things we needed.
What could be improved: Things were placed haphazardly all over the place making it difficult to find things we needed. The hot water supply for the shower was a bit unpredictable so the water could turn cold at any time particularly if a few people have had showers before you.Ron from Netherlands – 3 June 2025 (10/10)
