Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – I walked past Casa Marcur Santa Cruz twice before I realized it was actually a hotel. The entrance on Calle Rodrigo Caro is pretty understated, which honestly ends up being part of its charm. You’re right in the thick of the old town here, maybe a three-minute walk from the cathedral, and the street itself has that narrow, worn-stone feel where you can almost hear the echoes of horse hooves from centuries past. The area gets packed with tourists during the day (especially around Easter – good luck moving through those crowds), but once evening hits and everyone heads off to dinner, it becomes this quiet, almost magical pocket of Seville.
What really got me about this place was how they managed to make a 4-star property feel genuinely Sevillian without going overboard with the whole Moorish revival thing. The courtyard – and there’s always a courtyard in these old buildings – has this perfect balance of traditional tiles and modern comfort. You know what I mean? It’s not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, but you’ll definitely end up taking photos anyway. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious considering you’re in a centuries-old building, and the air conditioning actually works (trust me, you’ll need it if you’re visiting between June and September). I stayed in one facing the interior courtyard, which meant zero street noise but also meant I missed out on watching the early morning deliveries that seem to happen on every street in this neighborhood around 7 AM.
The staff here genuinely knows the area – not just the obvious tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this tiny tapas place around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise. They’re also realistic about timing, which I appreciated. When I asked about getting to the Alcázar, they didn’t just say “it’s close” – they actually explained that if I left before 9 AM, I could walk there in under ten minutes, but after 10 AM the streets get so crowded it might take twice as long. Parking is basically impossible around here (well, unless you enjoy paying 20 euros a day and walking six blocks), but they have an arrangement with a garage that’s actually reasonable. The whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like crashing at a friend’s incredibly well-appointed place in the best possible location. That 9.7 rating makes total sense – it’s the kind of place where the small details just work, and you end up planning your next Seville trip before you’ve even checked out.

Very spacious house in the best location in Sevilla. All the beds were comfortable. The apartment has a very nice and charming living room. The area is full of historical buildings. Despite the 3 UNESCO heritage sites, we liked the former Royal Tobacco Factory very much, which is now the university.
We will come again.

We absolutely loved our time at this property! It's spacious, clean, and super comfy – perfect for two families. The terrace view of the Giralda Tower is a real treat, making our stay even more special.
What blew us away was the location – everything is so close, yet the place is surprisingly quiet. Bars, restaurants, attractions, and supermarkets are practically at our doorstep. Plus, the property is soundproof, so no disturbances at all.
Parking was hassle-free with two great spots nearby, allowing us to explore on foot. Huge shoutout to Fran for being amazing and helping us out. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery, plates, and pans, and we appreciated the little extras like sugar, olive oil, and water. Nice touch!
All in all, we had a fantastic time, and we're definitely planning to return. This property made our trip unforgettable, and we highly recommend it!
What could be improved: If there's one thing we didn't like about our stay, it's that it was too short! Honestly, if we had known how fantastic this place and the host were, we would have extended our stay without a second thought. Lesson learned – when you find a gem like this, don't rush!Megan from United States – 16 April 2023 (10/10)

This is a gem of a place and a lucky find for anyone visiting Seville. The location was a 15min walk to all directions from the attractions. Updated/Modern and spacious.
The host Fran was such a pleasant person and quick to respond to all questions.
What could be improved: There is nothing to hate…only compliments about this property.Jose from Portugal – 25 September 2023 (9/10)
Great location. Very roomy apartment. Perfect for a family or group of friends. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. We specially liked Naturalmente right in front of the house. The host was very nice and friendly.
What could be improved: We could not find a filter coffee machine, but there was a cone filter which enabled us to do filter coffee the old fashioned way by dropping hot water onto to the coffeeStefano from Italy – 10 June 2025 (10/10)
Magnifico appartamento, in ottima posizione, molto accogliente e confortevole. Host molto gentile, disponibile e cordiale. E' stato un peccato starci una sola notte! Ma prima o poi ritorneremo 🙂
