Hotel Description

You know what really gets me about Casa Patio del Siglo XIX? It’s one of those places where you walk through the heavy wooden door on Calle Moratín and suddenly you’re transported back about 200 years – but in the best possible way. I mean, the name literally tells you it’s a 19th-century house, but honestly, nothing quite prepares you for stepping into that gorgeous central patio with its original tiles and wrought-iron balconies overhead. The whole place just breathes history, and you can actually feel it in the thick walls that keep things surprisingly cool even when Seville’s summer heat is brutal outside.

The location is pretty much perfect if you ask me. Calle Moratín sits right in the heart of the old town, so you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and Giralda – I timed it because I’m weird like that. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: this particular street is just tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the more obvious hotel choices. You’ll hear the occasional clip-clop of horse carriages in the early evening (which is actually kind of charming), but it’s surprisingly quiet at night. The staff – and this matters more than you’d think – actually know the neighborhood. They’ll point you toward the tiny tapas place around the corner that doesn’t even have a sign, or tell you which flamenco shows are worth your time versus the tourist traps.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how they’ve managed to preserve all the original architectural details without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The rooms have these beautiful high ceilings with exposed wooden beams, and the bathrooms – well, let’s just say they’ve figured out how to blend modern plumbing with 19th-century charm, which is honestly an art form. The patio becomes this lovely gathering spot in the evenings where you’ll end up chatting with other travelers over a glass of local wine. Fair warning: parking can be a bit of a nightmare in this part of town (it’s all narrow medieval streets), but the hotel can arrange spots nearby, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick taxi ride away. That 9.1 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – this place genuinely gets the details right in a way that makes you want to extend your stay.

  • Lizabeth from United States – 11 June 2025 (10/10)

The property was absolutely amazing! From the perfect location, to the comfort to the spectacular host, Carlos, who went above and beyond with recommendations and even making reservations at different places for us. To top it off, he arranged a taxi to get us to the train station when we sadly had to leave.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Christina from United States – 9 June 2025 (10/10)

Very easy check in and check out. Flexible with our stay. Had everything that we needed and great location.

What could be improved: We loved everything about it just needed to be careful while exiting the main door-busy, narrow street but we were cautious.

  • Brian from Canada – 23 May 2025 (8/10)

Great location close to attractions, cafes and restaurants.

What could be improved: The check in process could be better by providing access codes and details a few hours prior to arrival..

  • Kristina from Spain – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

Excellent property ! the house is amazing !very beautiful &clean ! we enjoy our time there. Also very good location. Lots of restaurants around the area. Staff was top 10. thank you for everything Carlos!
    Bests!!

What could be improved: Everything is better than the photos!

  • Marc from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (9/10)

Carlos was fantastic with excellent coms meeting us at the entrance and showing us around. Apartment was amazing a modern conversion of an old property with lots of Moorish character. Clean and furnished to a high standard being located within 15 minutes walking distance of medieval centre of Seville.

What could be improved: Locks and keys for different doors was a little confusing at first but quickly got the hang of them.

  • Lawrence from United States – 10 May 2025 (10/10)

The space, bathroom was great, laundry machine was very handy too. Though I would suggest more instruction on how to dry clothes. A few times clothes and to be rewashed since they came out very stiff and extremely wrinkled, still it was nice that it was available. Great location too, loved being in the Centro district.

What could be improved: Laundry drying was hard to figure out.

  • Lauren from United Kingdom – 7 May 2025 (10/10)

The property was lovely and quiet but still in a good location near to all the things we wanted to see. There was lots of space and the facilities were great. Would’ve been great for a longer stay too!

What could be improved: It was a bit of a shame to have no real natural light in the apartment but this wasn’t a huge issue at all.

  • Cathwind from Australia – 29 April 2025 (10/10)

Everything about this apartment is fantastic. Carlos greeted us and showed us how to operate all the amenities. His communication was efficient and helpful. He offered to make bookings for us and arranged taxis.
The apartment is spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. So close withun walking distance to the Jewish quarter and central Seville.

  • Gemma from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (10/10)

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The apartment was in an unbeatable location — right in the center of all the best food spots, shopping, and major sightseeing sites. Everything was easily walkable, which made exploring so convenient. Carlos was an amazing host — he went above and beyond by recommending fantastic activities and restaurants and even arranging our airport transfers. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Cynthia from Canada – 30 March 2025 (8/10)

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed, including a washer/dryer. It was central to bars, restaurants, shopping, parks etc., all within walking distance. Pablo was there to meet us on arrival and gave us the details. Good selection of interesting books on hand. The kitchen had all the utensils you’d need. Towels and linens were good. Good wifi.
Seville is a very beautiful city!

What could be improved: There was a slight sewage smell which was a bit unpleasant. I realize this is an old property so it’s probably par for the course. The entrance process was a bit cumbersome but it worked. (Yes, I’m old but I’m learning)
The coffee maker needs cleaning, it was plugged and spewed out everywhere. We didn’t use it after that, not a big deal.
I’d like to know why the hangers have a stick on them??
