You know what caught me off guard about Casa Recaredo? Walking up to this place on Calle Recaredo, I was expecting another cookie-cutter boutique hotel, but honestly – the building itself tells you this is going to be different. It’s got this understated elegance that feels authentically Sevillian, not like someone’s trying too hard to impress tourists. The location in Nervión is actually perfect if you want to experience Seville like locals do, rather than being stuck in the obvious tourist bubble around the cathedral. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters (I mean, we’re talking 15-20 minutes to the historic center), but you’re staying in a neighborhood where people actually live and work.

The staff here – and I’ve stayed in a lot of places across Andalusia – they genuinely seem to care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, no weird attitude when I asked about late checkout, and they actually gave useful restaurant recommendations instead of just pointing to the nearest tapas tourist trap. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality without feeling worn out, if that makes sense. Good air conditioning too, which matters more than you’d think during Seville summers when the heat can be absolutely brutal. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the “authentic Spanish” decor – it’s tasteful without feeling like a theme park. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in European hotels), and the bathrooms are properly updated. One small thing that impressed me: the soundproofing is solid. Calle Recaredo isn’t exactly a party street, but you still get city noise, and I slept really well here.

What really sets Casa Recaredo apart is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’ve got actual local bars within a couple blocks – the kind where construction workers grab morning coffee alongside office workers, not sanitized hotel lounges. There’s a fantastic little grocery store maybe three minutes away if you want to grab snacks or drinks without paying hotel markup. The metro station is close enough to be convenient but far enough that you don’t hear trains rumbling. Parking can be tricky in this area (like most of Seville), but the hotel staff knows the neighborhood and can point you toward spots that actually work. I’d definitely stay here again – the 9.4 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense, it’s earned. It strikes that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s honestly pretty rare these days.

  Apartment with a historical touch, superb furniture and paintings but still with all modern facilities, located 10 minutes walk from the historic center. Kind and communicative owner, we highly recommend Casa Recaredo!

  Big, spacious, separate rooms. Well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: Glass door. Internal windows. You can here clearly when there is somebody above or below you. The front door slams loudly.

  The apartment is very large and very nicely decorated. It was quiet and clean. It is located an easy walk to nearly all of the sites and restaurants.

  Such a beautiful apartment! Easy transit options, and very walkable to cathedral etc. Front bedroom faces a busy street (but has heavy shutters), back bedroom is beautifully dark and quiet. It got hot while we were there, but apartment was cool. Very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

  Lovely, spacious apartment – elegantly decorated and in a marvellous location. within walking distance of most of the main tourist sites. Despite being on a main road the windows were well sound proofed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed.
  
  What could be improved: A few little things – there appeared to be no hot water in the kitchen, the cooker hood light didn't work and, surprisingly, there was no coffee pot – only a Nespresso machine that took capsules (with too much plastic waste).

  非常漂亮的私人宅邸，有很多艺术品摆件和油画装饰，内庭院也有户外桌椅。空间非常宽敞，一切应有尽有。床很舒服，住了三天都睡得很好。厨房有各种调料。房东也很友善，提供不少帮助。位置在老城区边上，主要的大道上。停车场距离住宿走路6分钟。
  
  What could be improved: 主卧的WiFi 基本没有，住处其他地方都覆盖，其实也是比较容易解决的。

  Het was een heel mooi appartement met twee rukme slaapkaamer met ieder een eigen badkamer. De keuken was goed uitgerust. We waren ook zeer te spreken over de inrichting (meubelen, schilderijen, vitrinekast en decoratieve blikjes e.d.) die er ook voor zorgde dat het geen 13 in een dozijn plek is.
  
  What could be improved: Lastig is dat je de deur vam het appartement niet in het slit kan trekken en van binnenuit met een klink kan openen. Dat betekende dat we die deur op een kier moesren laten staan als iemand even een paar boodschappen ging doen. Alternatief was namelijk dat degenen die in het appartement bleven opgesloten zouden zijn. Aanrader is daarom om om een extra set sleutels te vrageen.
  
  Ook goed om rekening mee te houden is dat de twee 2-persoonsedden verschillende breedtes hadden (scheelde ca. 20 centimeter).
