Here’s the thing about staying in Nervión — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds that descend on the city center. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar in about fifteen minutes, but you’ll actually get some sleep at night without the constant hum of tour groups. The area around Calle Recaredo has this lovely residential vibe with local tapas bars where you’ll hear more Spanish than English. There’s a fantastic little market just two blocks away where I grabbed fresh oranges every morning — honestly, some of the best I’ve ever tasted.

Casa Recaredo operates more like a boutique guesthouse than a traditional hotel, and that’s exactly what makes it work so well. The owners clearly put thought into every detail without going overboard — you’ll find local artwork on the walls and furniture that actually looks like someone lives here. The rooms vary quite a bit (I stayed in two different ones during my visit), but each has its own character. Some have these gorgeous high ceilings with original moldings, while others feel more intimate and cozy. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, which is harder to pull off than you’d think.

The Practical Stuff

Let’s talk about what really matters when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building — I was able to video call home from my room without any issues. Air conditioning is solid, which you’ll definitely appreciate during Seville’s intense summers. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and the windows have proper shutters that block out light if you want to sleep in. There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, with the neighborhood cafés right outside your door, you won’t miss it.

  非常漂亮的私人宅邸，有很多艺术品摆件和油画装饰，内庭院也有户外桌椅。空间非常宽敞，一切应有尽有。床很舒服，住了三天都睡得很好。厨房有各种调料。房东也很友善，提供不少帮助。位置在老城区边上，主要的大道上。停车场距离住宿走路6分钟。
  
  What could be improved: 主卧的WiFi 基本没有，住处其他地方都覆盖，其实也是比较容易解决的。

  Het was een heel mooi appartement met twee rukme slaapkaamer met ieder een eigen badkamer. De keuken was goed uitgerust. We waren ook zeer te spreken over de inrichting (meubelen, schilderijen, vitrinekast en decoratieve blikjes e.d.) die er ook voor zorgde dat het geen 13 in een dozijn plek is.
  
  What could be improved: Lastig is dat je de deur vam het appartement niet in het slit kan trekken en van binnenuit met een klink kan openen. Dat betekende dat we die deur op een kier moesren laten staan als iemand even een paar boodschappen ging doen. Alternatief was namelijk dat degenen die in het appartement bleven opgesloten zouden zijn. Aanrader is daarom om om een extra set sleutels te vrageen.
  
  Ook goed om rekening mee te houden is dat de twee 2-persoonsedden verschillende breedtes hadden (scheelde ca. 20 centimeter).

  The apartment is very large and very nicely decorated. It was quiet and clean. It is located an easy walk to nearly all of the sites and restaurants.

  Such a beautiful apartment! Easy transit options, and very walkable to cathedral etc. Front bedroom faces a busy street (but has heavy shutters), back bedroom is beautifully dark and quiet. It got hot while we were there, but apartment was cool. Very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

  Lovely, spacious apartment – elegantly decorated and in a marvellous location. within walking distance of most of the main tourist sites. Despite being on a main road the windows were well sound proofed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed.
  
  What could be improved: A few little things – there appeared to be no hot water in the kitchen, the cooker hood light didn't work and, surprisingly, there was no coffee pot – only a Nespresso machine that took capsules (with too much plastic waste).
