Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Señorial Piedrachica? The name sounds way fancier than the place actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking down Calle Peñuelas, you’re literally steps from the cathedral (you can hear the bells if you’re a light sleeper), but this little three-star feels refreshingly unpretentious compared to some of the tourist traps in the area. The building itself has that weathered Sevillian charm – thick stone walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons, and these narrow hallways that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s renovated family home rather than a hotel.
Honestly, the location is what makes this place work. I mean, you’re right in the thick of the old town, but on a quieter street that doesn’t get the constant stream of tour groups. Plaza de Armas is maybe a five-minute walk, and you can easily wander over to the Alcázar without dealing with taxis or metro lines. The front desk staff – there’s this older gentleman who seems to know every tapas bar within a ten-block radius – will point you toward places that aren’t in the guidebooks. Actually, he steered me toward this tiny bar on Calle Zaragoza where the montaditos were incredible and cost half what you’d pay near the cathedral. The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward – clean, decent-sized for European standards, with these traditional tiles that stay cool underfoot. Don’t expect luxury amenities, but the AC works (crucial in July), and the water pressure is surprisingly good for an old building.
What really won me over was how the place feels once you settle in. There’s this small courtyard area where people tend to gather in the evenings – nothing fancy, just a few tables and some plants – but it’s where you end up chatting with other travelers and getting real recommendations. The neighborhood comes alive at night in that distinctly Andalusian way, with families out for late dinners and kids playing in the small plaza nearby. You’ll hear guitar music drifting from the bars, and honestly, it’s exactly what you picture when you think of Seville. Parking can be tricky (the streets are narrow and mostly pedestrian), but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that won’t break the bank. For a three-star that punches above its weight, Casa Señorial Piedrachica gets the fundamentals right – it’s clean, the staff cares, and you’re perfectly positioned to explore the city on foot. Just don’t expect a pool or room service; this is more about authentic Seville living than hotel luxury.

Reviews
Robyn from Portugal – 2 November 2024 (9/10)
The place is new and clean, bed comfortable and the water pressure was good. The position is central to many places to view. Providing coffee machine and pods was very helpful as early risers find it hard to find anywhere in Spain that opens before 9am. The decor is novel with African theme.
What could be improved: The incessant noise from the apartment above- continual walking across wooden floors and dragging furniture around, children crying and loud voice of man all into the very late evening. Maybe they were trying to enhance the African theme with sound effects of a herd of elephants.Laura from Netherlands – 26 May 2025 (8/10)
Central location, pretty decoration, comfortable beds, good working AC, owner very responsive on WhatsApp
What could be improved: The room does not have a window, causing the weird smell and the small flies. The bathroom shower overflows easily.Tugdual from France – 25 October 2024 (7/10)
Nice and fully furnished, well located, Nice building
What could be improved: Odd smell, a light just outside the room on the 2nd floor stayed on the whole night and would cast a lot of light in the roomYuchiu from Netherlands – 23 November 2024 (7/10)
The interior decoration and the location
What could be improved: It took a day to prepare the quilt and there was no sheet on it, and poor WIFI that also took a day to provide the alternative one.Phototraveler from Philippines – 22 September 2024 (9/10)
It was easy enough to find the apartment. Easy to enter with instructions given. The apartment is in the old quarter. But the quiet side. There was a list of recommended places to eat. There was coffee and water in the hall. The interior is beautiful, even better than the pictures.
What could be improved: Although the apartment is great, it was not for us. I missed that there was no window to the outside. There was a narrow window to the inner courtyard from the room. The scent was a bit too strong for me. It is a good apartment but just not suited to me.Gosia from United Kingdom – 15 May 2025 (10/10)
Great location, lovely room, comfy bed.
What could be improved: Thin walls so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.Marnie from Australia – 29 April 2025 (10/10)
Everything! Great location, clean, comfortable and good communication. Tea and coffee facilities. Safe and secure.
What could be improved: NothingHamza from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (5/10)
Very spacious and clean. Location is also good, near the center.
What could be improved: The toilet is inside a small cubicle within the bedroom, but the top of the cubicle is completely open to the room, there’s no ceiling and no ventilation,,with no barrier at all. Honestly, if I had known this, I would never have booked it. The room itself is very spacious and clean, but it would have been much better without a toilet placed like this. On top of that, the shower had no hot water on that day, which made the stay even more disappointing….Alyssa from Luxembourg – 1 July 2024 (10/10)
The ambiente of the room
What could be improved: /Miguel from Spain – 17 June 2024 (10/10)
The building has been renovated inside while preserving the original features, notably the internal courtyards.
The decoration was nice and elegant, combining the old with the new.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the TV screen was huge and wifi enabled.
There was a Nespresso machine and pasties available at all times in the courtyard, and we were provided with water bottles.
The place was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
Very close on foot to all the sites in Seville.
What could be improved: There's nothing that I didn't like – the place is really nice.
