Hotel Description

You know what? When I first walked into Casa Sevilla 1920, I actually thought I’d stumbled into someone’s gorgeously renovated family mansion. The building sits right on Calle Jesús del Gran Poder – and if you know Seville at all, you’ll recognize that street name from the famous Holy Week processions. There’s something pretty magical about staying in a place where you can literally hear the cofradías practicing their drums echoing off the narrow cobblestones at night.

The suites themselves are honestly impressive – they’ve managed to keep all that 1920s character (the original tiles, those impossibly high ceilings, wrought iron details that probably took some craftsman months to forge) while sneaking in modern comforts that actually work. I mean, the air conditioning was a godsend during my July visit, and the Wi-Fi didn’t make me want to throw my laptop out the window, which is more than I can say for some places in the old quarter. The rooms are spacious in that way Spanish apartments used to be built – none of that cramped modern efficiency stuff. My suite had this little sitting area where I’d drink my morning coffee and plan out which tapas bars to hit later.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral – I could see the Giralda tower from my window – but you’re tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant tourist foot traffic. The street itself is lined with those typical Sevillian buildings with their cream-colored facades and green shutters, and there’s a little corner bar called El Rinconcillo just around the bend that’s supposedly been serving jamón since 1670 (the locals swear by it, and honestly, who am I to argue with 350 years of tradition?).

Parking can be a bit of a nightmare in this part of town – well, it’s a nightmare everywhere in Seville’s old quarter, really – but the hotel staff actually helped me figure out the closest public garage, which was surprisingly painless. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk folks seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the city rather than just rattling off tourist pamphlet recommendations. They pointed me toward this tiny ceramics shop on Calle Sierpes that I never would’ve found otherwise.

The only real downside? If you’re a super light sleeper, bring earplugs. The neighborhood comes alive at night (in the best possible way), and Spanish social life tends to spill onto the streets until pretty late. But honestly, that’s part of the charm – you’re staying in a real, living neighborhood, not some sanitized hotel district.

Reviews

  • Shahd from Saudi Arabia – 13 June 2025 (8/10)

We liked that it was spacious and the location was perfect for a first time in Seville. Although it is considered close to the center, we didn’t face any trouble with street noise.

  • Bartol from Croatia – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

The property is in a good location, close to the city center in a quiet street. The apartment was clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. The host was very accommodating. Check-in is usually from 2 PM, but they allowed us to enter at 12 PM since we arrived in Seville then. Highly recommended.

  • Helen from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (8/10)

The location was good and the apartness clean and comfortable with everything needed for a short stay

What could be improved: The lift was out of order and the road was quite noisy – the bedroom windows would benefit from some insulation to assist with that

  • Güler from Turkey – 30 April 2025 (9/10)

    Clean clean clean

  • Alex from Ireland – 1 March 2025 (9/10)

The host was very helpful. Apartment was spacious, clean and comfy with lots of light. Sound not too much from the street.

What could be improved: That I hadnt the time to spend longer. Honestly, perfect spot for a couple to set as a base to explore and experience Seville.

  • Krajčovič from Slovakia – 8 February 2025 (9/10)

It was at a great location, close to the main attractions in the city. The place was not noisy at all, it was clean and just like in the pictures. It was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and sturdy. The mattres had a nice bounce to it.

What could be improved: We were there in february and the heater that we used was a little noisy when switched on. But it worked good.

  • Bandar from Turkey – 14 January 2025 (9/10)

The space, the clean and the balcony

    What could be improved: .;

  • Steffie from Singapore – 26 October 2024 (9/10)

The host was incredibly thoughtful, providing a welcome drink in the fridge along with complimentary cava. The coffee capsules were exceptional. Both the room and the apartment are beautifully designed, and the location is perfect. The cleanliness was impressive, and we loved having a fully equipped kitchen—it was so convenient. The Seville-scented shower gels added a unique touch. This place is close to all major tourist attractions, so we didn’t need public transportation at all; we could walk everywhere!

What could be improved: The customer service experience varies depending on who responds, as you might receive different answers. However, the host stands out for being exceptionally kind, consistently helpful, and always offering the best recommendations.

  • Abbie from United Kingdom – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

    Lovely and clean, great location!

  • Patricia from Australia – 12 October 2024 (9/10)

Everything, especially the customer service and the cleanliness of the place.
