Casa Valentina II caught me off guard, honestly – I was expecting another cramped old town apartment rental, but this place actually delivers on that “confort y luz” promise in its name. The minute you step inside, you get why it’s pulling a 9.2 rating. There’s this bright, airy feeling that’s pretty rare in Sevilla’s historic center, where most places feel like charming caves (lovely caves, but still caves). The owner clearly knows what they’re doing with the space – you’ve got these gorgeous high ceilings and windows that let in actual sunlight, which is kind of a miracle when you’re tucked into the maze of streets around Calle Guadalete.

What really works here is the location without the tourist trap feeling. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral – I mean, you can hear the bells if you listen – but you’re on this quieter residential street where actual sevillanos live. The neighborhood has that perfect balance where you’ll find a proper neighborhood bar (the kind where old men argue about football over café solo) right next to a decent little supermarket. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about it, but honestly the tram stop at Plaza Nueva is close enough that you don’t really need a car anyway. I loved being able to walk to Alameda de Hércules for dinner – maybe ten minutes through these narrow streets that GPS always gets confused about, but once you know the way it’s easy.

The actual space feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment than a hotel, which works in its favor. Everything’s thoughtfully set up – good wifi (tested it extensively), decent air conditioning that actually works during those brutal August afternoons, and a kitchen that’s properly equipped if you want to hit the Mercado de la Encarnación and cook something. The bed situation is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel back ache, and there’s enough storage space for more than just a weekend bag. You know what impressed me most? The little details, like having proper curtains that actually block light (crucial for those summer mornings when the sun’s up at 6:30) and decent water pressure in the shower. It’s the kind of place where someone clearly thought about what travelers actually need versus what looks good in photos. If you’re planning to spend time in Sevilla’s center without feeling like you’re camping or breaking the bank on one of those fancy converted palaces, this hits the sweet spot.

  We stayed at Casa Valentina over Easter, and we found the apartment very comfortable, close to the center (about 10 minutes by foot) but also quiet and far enough from the fuss so we could rest. Also, the river is just on the other side of the road, and it's a really nice walk. The apartment is freshly renovated, very pretty, and has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to available umbrellas. We didn't meet Raúl personally, but he was very responsive, available, and flexible to our schedules. He also gave us some great tips on places to eat all over the city, some very close by. Easter in Sevilla is a one-of-a-kind experience, and we had a great time!
  
  What could be improved: If I have to think of something, the only downside was showers – we were 5, and the last person had lukewarm water. But it's a small thing!

  Everything! Contact with host prior to and during our stay was exceptional. We arrived to a welcome bottle of wine. Any questions were answered fully and promptly. Our dog was welcomed. A lovely walk to the old town along the river. Would throughly recommend. Thank you.

  住宿清潔，廚房設備算齊全，地方夠大。周圍環境寧靜。外面街道能免費停車，我們幸運的找到很近的位置。
  
  What could be improved: 最初要用電子鎖app 進入，但向街道的鎖一直開不到，好彩有住戶幫手開了門，首次進入後我們也一直用實體鎖匙出入。另外住宿距離市中心景點有些距離，出入我們都會叫車。

  El apartamento es precioso, está decorado con mucho gusto y es acogedor. Está muy limpio y las camas son cómodas. El anfitrión te deja un mapa y una botella de vino de bienvenida. En mi caso no la probamos pero se agradece. Está equipado con todo lo necesario y hay café y té.
  La ubicación es buena y no es difícil aparcar en la avenida Torneo. Nosotros dejamos ahí el coche toda la estancia y utilizamos Uber.
  Casi no estuvimos en el apartamento, pero nos gustó mucho en general. Recomiendo la estancia!
  
  What could be improved: La casa es un poco fría. Leí que tenía calefacción y pensé en radiadores pero se refiere al aire acondicionado. Hay dos, uno en cada habitación, pero hace falta uno en el salón. Sí que es cierto que hay calefactores extra que nos sirvieron de algo.
  Personalmente no me gusta que sea todo contacto cero. Me gusta que el anfitrión me reciba y me explique un poco todo, pero eso ya va en gustos.
  Es cierto que está atento por WhatsApp y te da también recomendaciones de Sevilla, pero nosotros tuvimos un problema con la inducción y no nos sirvió la ayuda por WhatsApp.
  Es un primero pero cuidado con las escaleras que son un poco inclinadas. En general cosas sin importancia pero a tener en cuenta.

  El alojamiento es perfecto, la decoración es preciosa y se ve nuevo, fiel a las fotos 100%. Tiene absolutamente de todo lo que puedas necesitar para que tu estancia sea perfecta. Además la ubicación nos ha gustado mucho, a 20 minutos andando de la zona centro de Sevilla. Lo mejor de todo es que admite perro 🐶 y puedes viajar con tu peludo. Raúl es un anfitrión especial, te deja mapas de la ciudad en el apartamento, un pequeño detalle de bienvenida y además te aconseja los mejores sitios para comer y tapear y cualquier cosa que puedas necesitar. Gracias por todo Raúl. Si volvemos a Sevilla sin duda elegiré tu apartamento.
