Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and CASA@ENCINA gets something right that most hotels miss completely – it actually feels like you’re living in the Old Town, not just visiting it. The moment you step through the door on Calle Juan de la Encina, you’re hit with this immediate sense of “oh, this is what I came to Andalusia for.” The building has that perfect worn-in charm where you can tell it’s been lovingly maintained without losing its character. I mean, the courtyard alone – and honestly, every decent place in Seville should have one – makes you want to grab a book and just disappear for hours.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits right in the thick of things without being touristy, you know? You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (I timed it because I’m that person), but the street itself feels genuinely residential. In the mornings, you’ll hear actual neighbors going about their day, not just tour groups shuffling past. The rooms are spacious by European standards – I could actually open my suitcase without rearranging the furniture, which is saying something. The decor walks that fine line between traditional and comfortable; there’s enough Spanish character to remind you where you are, but you’re not sleeping in a museum. And the air conditioning actually works, which after a July afternoon wandering through Santa Cruz, trust me, matters more than any architectural detail.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, so if you’re looking to stumble home from late-night tapas crawls, you might want to stay closer to Alameda. But honestly? That’s part of the appeal. You get the authentic neighborhood feel during the day – there’s a tiny grocery store two blocks over where the owner will practice his English with you – and peaceful evenings when you want to recharge. The 8.4 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The check-in was smooth (they actually waited for me when my flight was delayed), and the little kitchen setup means you can grab fresh ingredients from the Feria market and have breakfast on your own terms. If you’re the type who wants to feel like a temporary local rather than a hotel guest, this place nails it.

  For the price, the accommodation is really good.
  We enjoyed our stay, and the owners were nice, communication was easy.
  The place was clean and tidy.
  
  Overall, we really appreciated the place !
  
  What could be improved: Concerning the location; it is in a residential neighbourhood, it is not IN the center, but it is 15-20 minutes away from the touristic places.
  However, the walls are quite thin and you can hear the outside noise, as well as the neighbours.

  El sitio es excelente. Un apartamento acogedor, buena ubicación y Juanfran como anfitrión siempre pendiente. Nos dio dos accesos al alojamiento para darnos a mi amiga y a mí una mayor independencia a la hora de entrar y salir.

  Très bien situé, propre et décoration très agréable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.
  Dommage qu'il y ait eu des odeurs d'égout dans la salle de bain et la courette.
  L'isolation est très faible mais nous n'avons pas été dérangés la nuit.

  Buena ubicación, se puede ir caminando a la Catedral y Alcázar dando un paseo de 12 minutos. El apartamento es confortable, con una gran terraza.

  La casa è carina ed accogliente situata in una zona tranquilla. Rispetto alle temperature esterne molto fresca (aprile). Ottima posizione per raggiungere a piedi le attrazioni turistiche della città. La cucina è attrezzata anche se sarebbe apprezzabile se ci fossero delle tazzine da caffè espresso e uno strofinaccio in più. Inoltre abbiamo gradito il gesto gentile dell'host che ci ha offerto una bottiglia di vino al nostro arrivo.
