Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into CASA@IBARRA, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name – it’s got that whole official apartment code thing going on that sounds pretty sterile. But you know what? The moment you step through that portal entrance on Calle Conde de Ibarra, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special tucked away in Seville’s old Jewish quarter.
The location is what really got me – I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the Judería, which is this maze of narrow cobblestone streets that most tourists get lost in (in the best way possible). From the apartment, you can actually hear the clip-clop of horse carriages echoing off the ancient walls in the early morning, and there’s this orange tree right outside that fills the whole street with this incredible citrus scent, especially after it rains. The Santa Cruz neighborhood moves at its own pace here – mornings are quiet except for the occasional delivery truck squeezing down these impossibly narrow streets, but by evening you’ve got this gentle buzz of people wandering to tapas bars and the sound of guitar drifting from somewhere you can never quite locate.
What struck me most about staying here was how it manages to feel both authentically Sevillian and genuinely comfortable. The apartment itself is well-appointed without being fussy – you’ve got modern amenities that actually work (the air conditioning was a lifesaver in August, let me tell you), but the building has kept all that old-world character with thick walls that keep things surprisingly cool and quiet. I was worried about noise since you’re so central, but honestly, the medieval streets here don’t really allow for much traffic beyond the occasional scooter. The check-in was smooth – they meet you right at the building, which is crucial because finding Portal 2 on your own with luggage would be… well, let’s just say the street numbering in this part of town follows its own mysterious logic.
I spent most evenings just wandering out the front door and getting pleasantly lost – you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (you can actually see the Giralda tower from certain spots on the street), and the Real Alcázar is close enough that you could pop over there before the morning crowds if you’re an early riser. But here’s the thing locals know: some of the best tapas spots are hidden in the little squares you stumble across just by taking random turns from Conde de Ibarra. There’s this tiny bar called Las Teresas just around the corner where they serve jamón that’ll ruin you for anywhere else.
The apartment earned its 4-star rating honestly – everything feels thoughtfully put together rather than just checking boxes, and that 8.5 rating makes sense when you factor in that you’re getting a genuine neighborhood experience rather than just another hotel room. Sure, you might have to duck under some low doorways and navigate those ancient streets, but that’s exactly why you came to Seville, right?

Juanfran was an excellent host, he was very attentive to all our needs, especially as we arrived in the middle of a Spanish wide electricity outage!
The property was well situated for exploring Seville and he helped with additional requests.

Lovely place
What could be improved: Only one thing – the digital display on cooker was broken so coffee making was hard!Gyöngyi from Hungary – 26 March 2025 (9/10)
A szállásadó kedves volt. Korai érkezésünkre tekintettel 11 órakor letehettük a csomagjainkat. És kaptunk ajánlást tőle a környék éttermeihez. A szállás kényelmes, jó elrendezésű.
Marí from Spain – 13 December 2024 (9/10)
