Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Seville’s old quarter, and Casas De Adriano honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book a place based on photos and cross your fingers? Well, this one actually delivers. It’s tucked right on Calle Adriano – and I mean literally on the street, not hidden behind some courtyard you’ll never find at midnight – which puts you about a three-minute walk from the Cathedral. Actually, less if you walk fast, but who walks fast in Seville’s heat?

The thing about this place is it gets the balance right between feeling authentically Sevillian and actually working for modern travelers. The building itself has that whole Moorish-influenced architecture thing going on (you can’t escape it in this part of town, thankfully), but inside they’ve clearly put thought into the details that matter. The rooms have proper air conditioning – not those wimpy units that barely cool a closet – and the WiFi actually works throughout the building. I mean, I was getting solid signal even in the courtyard area where I’d sit with morning coffee. The beds are comfortable too, which honestly isn’t always a given in these historic conversions. Sometimes charm comes at the expense of a good night’s sleep, but not here.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just point me toward the tourist traps near the Cathedral – they sent me to this little tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise. And here’s something practical: they actually help with the parking situation, which if you’ve ever driven in Seville’s old town, you know is basically a nightmare. There’s a garage nearby they work with, and while it’s not cheap (nothing is in this part of town), at least you’re not circling those impossibly narrow streets for an hour. The whole check-in process was smooth too – they had our room ready early and gave us a proper neighborhood map with handwritten notes, not just some glossy brochure.

I stayed there in late October, which is honestly perfect timing for Seville – still warm enough to enjoy the rooftop terrace they have, but not so brutally hot that you’re hiding indoors all afternoon. Speaking of which, that terrace view is pretty spectacular, especially around sunset when the Cathedral bells start chiming. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being right in the old town means you’ll hear some street noise, especially on weekend nights when people are out bar hopping. But honestly, that’s part of staying in the heart of things – you can either pay for quiet in some sterile business district or embrace the energy of actually being where life happens. For what it’s worth, the 8.8 rating it has seems spot-on to me.

  • Fleur from Australia – 28 December 2024 (9/10)

A great location overlooking one of Sevilles bustling restaurant strips with easy access to the main pedestrian walks and city highlights. Open the windows to let the bustle in or close them to enjoy peace and quiet.

  • Johnson from United States – 28 November 2024 (9/10)

The location is AMAZING! The apartment is lovely and it seems new. The views from the front deck were fabulous. I really liked the set up of the apartment and the bed was very comfortable.

What could be improved: We had an issue checking in. The keypad code in the booking reservation was not correct. It was difficult getting in touch with the owner because she had a family emergency (certainly NOT her fault). Once we were in touch, she was lovely and everything went smoothly from there. One hint for anyone staying there – make sure the showerhead is pointed down and towards the inside wall. The slope of the shower makes it so that water very easily gets on the floor.
