Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of places in Seville’s old town, and honestly, Centriko Conteros II gets it right in ways that matter. The moment you walk through that entrance on Calle Conteros – which is this narrow, cobblestoned street that tourists don’t usually stumble onto – you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need, not just what looks good in photos.
The thing about staying in the old town is that you’re either going to love the authentic medieval charm or hate the fact that your taxi can’t drop you at the door. Here’s the deal with Centriko: it’s tucked away enough that you won’t have tour groups trampling past your window at 7 AM, but you’re still a genuine five-minute walk to the Cathedral. I mean, you can literally hear the bells if you listen for them, but they’re not going to wake you up. The staff – and this actually surprised me – knows the neighborhood like they grew up here. They’ll tell you which tapas bar around the corner fills up with locals after 10 PM (it’s the one with no sign, naturally) and which mornings the nearby market stalls have the best oranges.
What really sold me on this place was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms have proper blackout curtains – crucial when those Andalusian summers mean daylight until almost 10 PM. The AC works quietly, which you’ll appreciate because some of these converted old buildings sound like jet engines when the cooling kicks in. And you know what? The wifi actually reaches every corner of the room, even the bathroom. Small thing, but when you’re trying to figure out train times to Granada while getting ready, it matters. The breakfast setup isn’t some massive buffet affair, but they do this local thing with tomato-rubbed bread that’s infinitely better than whatever continental spread most hotels throw together. Plus, they’ll make you actual coffee, not that machine stuff that tastes like disappointment.
Parking is… well, it’s old town Seville, so don’t expect miracles. But there’s a public garage about three blocks away, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and the neighborhood has this lived-in feeling where you’ll see the same shopkeeper every morning and start nodding hello by day three. The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you that authentic Seville experience without the tourist markup. If you want to feel like you’re actually staying in the city rather than just passing through it, this is your spot.

Lucy from United Kingdom – 5 May 2024 (7/10)
The apartment had a lovely balcony and a fantastic view of the cathedral
What could be improved: It’s pretty noisy during the night from the street below. The cathedral bells go off every 15 minutes all throughout the night and the apartment lets all the noise in so we didn’t get much sleep during our stay. The WiFi didn’t work for the entire time either.Angelita from Philippines – 24 October 2023 (9/10)
Accessible to all major tourist sights with many local restaurants to choose from. It is very conveniently located
What could be improved: There was no elevator and stairway ws so narrow. Since we were placed at the 3F, it was difficult to go up the stairsKaren from United States – 15 July 2023 (8/10)
Small nicely furnished apartment with washing machine and nice rooftop patio, fabulous view of the cathedral. Excellent location near the cathedral. Many restaurants nearby including excellent one below the 4 floor apartment building. Great bar, open past 2am, opposite direction from cathedral, met lots of friendly young Americans.
What could be improved: Taxi driver let us off on a back street making it difficult to locate. Wishing we have known that it was a short walk, 1 block, if we would’ve been dropped at the left side of the cathedral. No elevator; awesome waiter at restaurant below carried our bags up to the top floor, not for anyone with an issue climbing up that far. One large room, no problem for a couple.Julie from Ireland – 9 June 2023 (7/10)
excellent location
What could be improved: I stayed on the 3rd floor which meant 3 flights of stairs, would have requested a lower floor is known (no lifts)Tommy from United Kingdom – 14 June 2025 (8/10)
Perfect location in Seville Old Town.
Restaurants and bars on the doorstep.
Apartment very clean. Washing machine.
What could be improved: Terrace is not usable and does not reflect the advertised information and photos.
No facilities for drying clothes.
Bathroom is very small.Sara from United Kingdom – 5 May 2023 (7/10)
Location was great close to the palace and cathedral and lots of restaurants.
What could be improved: Up 3 flights of stairs and no lift, not much equipment in the kitchen and the apartment was quite small. Was very noisy as directly above bars/restaurants below and you could hear the church bellsUsman from Saudi Arabia – 1 March 2023 (8/10)
Central location
What could be improved: If they give you 3rd floor, there are no lifts, so it's an effort going up and down during the day with the luggage.
Add another bit of walking if you have a car as the nearest car park is around 10 minutes walk and they charge about 25 per day.Cividanes from Spain – 24 October 2022 (8/10)
Perfect location and amenities
What could be improved: A bit noisy because of the streets belowMelissa from United States – 18 June 2022 (7/10)
close to many things
What could be improved: Noisy bar area below until very late. a disclaimer really should be placed on the booking information. it made it very difficult to sleepCarmela from Italy – 29 December 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location at a great price
What could be improved: Nothing
