Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The garage. I mean, finding parking in Seville’s old town is basically a nightmare – I’ve circled those narrow streets for forty minutes before, dodging tour groups and wondering if my rental car would fit through passages built for horses. But here you actually get a garage spot, which honestly might be worth the booking fee alone.

The duplex itself sits right on Calle Real de la Carretería, and if you know Seville at all, you’ll recognize this as one of those streets that feels properly old – like, cobblestones-under-your-feet, wrought-iron-balconies-overhead old. It’s maybe a seven-minute walk to the Cathedral (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear every single tour guide explaining the Giralda at 8 AM. The space works well for six people, though I’d say it’s more comfortable for four adults and a couple kids – the upstairs bedrooms have that slanted ceiling thing going on that taller folks might bump their heads on. The terrace is actually pretty sweet; you get these glimpses of rooftops and church spires, and it catches the evening light beautifully. Perfect for that obligatory glass of wine after trudging around the Alcázar all day.

What I really appreciated was how the place felt lived-in rather than sterile – you know those vacation rentals that look like someone just bought everything from the same IKEA catalog? This isn’t that. The kitchen actually has proper knives and decent pans (travelers who cook will understand why this matters), and there’s enough space in the living area that you won’t feel like you’re stepping on each other after a long day of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi worked fine, the air conditioning keeps up with Seville’s brutal summer heat, and honestly, the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. I will say the stairs between floors are a bit steep – not a huge deal, but worth mentioning if you’re traveling with older family members or have heavy luggage. The 7.7 rating feels about right; it’s not luxury accommodation, but it delivers on what it promises. Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk to Triana across the Isabel II bridge, the Museo de Bellas Artes is practically around the corner, and those amazing tapas bars on Calle Mateos Gago are maybe ten minutes away. For a group wanting to actually experience Seville rather than just stay somewhere convenient, this works really well.

  • Sharon from United Kingdom – 17 May 2024 (9/10)

A spacious apartment extremely near to the city's attractions & the riverside area too. Access to outside areas was a bonus in the city. Air conditioning worked well.
Kitchen & utility facilities were good.
The place was clean & beds comfortable 👍. The water for showers was super hot!!
The apartment felt safe & secure and so did the neighbourhood. It was just around the corner from shops, eating places etc, not one of the central areas, but good nonetheless.

What could be improved: A full length mirror in one of the downstairs rooms would be nice, as only one mirror in each bathroom.
A spare set of keys (or at least two for the two downstairs doors) would have been helpful. One of our party ran in the morning, she had to take keys to get back in, but also had to lock doors for the safety of the building, which left us inside without an adequate fire escape 😮.
A group member staying in the upstairs room felt it was a little dusty and it could get a little hotter up there in summer due to its position on the roof.
    Toilet brushes could be replaced.

  • Jan from Netherlands – 7 August 2023 (9/10)

Two nice terraces, huge parking space, perfect place in city center.

  • Melanie from United Kingdom – 12 March 2023 (9/10)

Central location, garage for the car, outdoor space

    What could be improved: nothing

  • Cristian from Romania – 19 September 2022 (7/10)

Location is perfect , in the middle of the old town , the apartment is comfortable and good looking . Terrace is really useful and nice specially in the evening

What could be improved: The cleaning on the terrace needs improvement … a lot of stuff like jugs and other recipients were left there .

  • Keith from Spain – 15 April 2023 (8/10)

Maria – the host – made check-in very easy and was helpful throughout. The property is ideally suited to a stay in the old town section. It is on a narrow one way street which takes a bit of finding off the main road, but the huge bonus is parking in the house’s garage – it is a tight squeeze for an estate car, but given the parking restrictions in the old town and the general lack of available street parking, it was great to have the car parked up for the duration of our stay. All the historic sites are within walking distance and from the upper terrace you can see the cathedral and hear the bells.
The property is accessed from a long flight of stairs which adds to the general fitness of your trip. Once inside it is obvious that this is someone’s home that they rent out occasionally. It is furnished and decorated in an individual style, with many hunting trophies adorning the walls. 2 double beds and two small singles mean 6 can sleep comfortably with a bathroom on each of the two floors ( there is also a toilet in the garage which we discovered as we left !) There is a small, functional kitchen a modern fridge freezer and comfortable living room. Two outside terraces mean there are options for sitting outside and the property is air conditioned, which is a must when summer arrives in Seville.

What could be improved: 3 empty air fresheners in the upper bedroom was a clue and probably explains the slight smell from the drainage. The property was clean , like someone’s home rather than spotless.

  • Lynda from United Kingdom – 30 March 2023 (7/10)

Comfortable bed main house, living room area nice. Spacious. Sitting area outside downstairs could be lovely but awnings really grubby so didn't go out. Good Spacious area upstairs, nice rattan furniture but area needs a good clean , paint. Lots of crockery.

What could be improved: The fact that the other main double bedroom was upstairs on the roof, and there is a shower room there, but you have to go out on the balcony area to get to it . This bedroom isn't really big, the door needs replacing as holes in it. Hence, mosquitoes and bugs could get through. Just feels old and tired, if you want your own private area away from your family then it's ideal. Definitely need a long mirror somewhere, only one small one in the bathroom. Shower cubicle downstairs needs a good clean .
Just think it's overpriced ,but definitely needs a refresh in place's

  • Omar from Palestinian Territory – 21 June 2024 (8/10)

The place is just perfect. The decorations the facilities. The private closed garage connected to the apartment. The place had 2 terraces, 2 washing machines, 2 bathrooms, 2 irons enough space. I will definitely come again to the apartment if I ever visit Seville again. It is in a living neighbourhood, next to the bull fight ring.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Annette from Ireland – 20 June 2023 (8/10)

Location was excellent. Apartment very spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable

What could be improved: Not the fault of the apartment but, because of our ages, my brother is 85, the stairs were tiring

  • Julie from Spain – 18 February 2023 (8/10)

It's right in the middle of everything! The outside space was phenomenal especially for the old town location, the facilities were exceptional, the showers were great . Lots of storage space to unpack our luggage .

What could be improved: To access the upstairs bathroom from the bedroom during the night we had to go outside across the terrace and unlock doors ,not a problem for us because the weather was great but it would be a problem if it rained .This wasn't made clear on the booking.com description. The taxidermy was unnecessary

  • Richard from Australia – 25 September 2022 (8/10)

Everything, well appointed, space, hunting decor

What could be improved: nothing, it was all great, best place we have stayed
