Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Cheap & Chic,” I was a little skeptical. I mean, how often do those two words actually go together? But this little gem on Calle Ortiz de Zúñiga completely proved me wrong. You know what struck me first? The building itself – it’s this gorgeous old Sevillian structure that you’d walk right past if you didn’t know better, tucked between a tiny tapas bar and one of those century-old shops that sells religious candles and lottery tickets.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Sevilla rather than just visiting it. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the cathedral – and I actually timed it because I’m weird like that – but you’re on this quiet residential street where actual locals live. The woman at the corner tienda will start recognizing you after day two, and there’s something really special about that. What really gets me is how they’ve managed to keep the authentic Andalusian character (those traditional shutters, the narrow staircase that creaks just right) while making everything feel fresh and comfortable. The apartment – because it’s more like staying in someone’s stylish home than a hotel – has these beautiful tile floors that stay cool even in August, which you’ll appreciate if you visit during the brutal summer months.
I have to mention the practical stuff because it actually matters – there’s no elevator, so if you’re on the first floor like we were, you’ll be hauling your luggage up some stairs. Not terrible, but worth knowing. The neighborhood gets delightfully quiet at night, though you’ll hear the occasional late-night conversation drifting up from the street (in the best possible way – it’s part of the charm). Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about driving here. But honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The Alcázar is a lazy ten-minute stroll, and you can wander down to the river or pop over to Triana without breaking a sweat. What I loved most was discovering that little hidden plaza just around the corner – Plaza de Doña Elvira – where locals sit with their morning coffee and tourists haven’t quite figured out yet. The whole area has this lived-in authenticity that’s getting harder to find in European city centers, and staying here puts you right in the middle of it all without the tourist hotel vibe.

Facilities and great location.
What could be improved: It is a great location, but it comes with a price: the street is a bit noisy.Tito from Spain – 22 September 2024 (8/10)
Very nice cozy apartment in the middle of Sevilla next to Las Setas monument.
It was extremely clean and it felt new.
Alicia the host was very nice and informative.
Highly recommendedAlesa from United States – 25 November 2023 (8/10)
It had everything we needed for a great stay in Seville. The location was very good and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The full size kitchen had everything you need to cook your own meals.
What could be improved: Nothing…no complaints:)Susan from United States – 12 October 2023 (8/10)
A terrific location near many of the sites I wanted to visit. The place was super clean and in great shape.
What could be improved: Finding the building wasn't a problem, but It would have been helpful to know which apartment to buzz/ring up to contact the host in order to get the keys. Ended up standing in the street for a while trying to figure it out.Bianca from Italy – 26 November 2024 (9/10)
Super central location, few minutes from main attractions, great value for money
What could be improved: Everything as expectedSilvia from Spain – 8 July 2024 (9/10)
Perfect location: I always walked around, took the bus only to/from airport/station.
Great hosts: they were quick to fix a lightbulb that wasn’t working initially.
Amenities: air conditioning, fast wifi, tv, washing machine, big fridge and refrigerator, microwave oven with green, shower gel and shampoo and conditioner
What could be improved: Just a suggestion: maybe have oil or washing machine soap available, so that guests wouldn’t need to buy entire bottles if they need itIan from United Kingdom – 20 February 2024 (8/10)
Fantastic central location. Basic but very functional.
What could be improved: Nothing really you get what you pay for.Nidhi from India – 29 May 2024 (7/10)
The location was wonderful. Great apartment for a short stay.
What could be improved: The cleaning could have been more detailed. For example the sofa felt dirty and its cushions kept slipping off. The balcony windows and grills were quite dirty. The lights were mix of white and yellow across the apartment. Overall looks a lot nicer in the picturesFabio from Spain – 7 June 2025 (8/10)
