You know what struck me first about City Center Deluxe Sky View? The name’s a bit of a mouthful, honestly, but they’re not kidding about that sky view part. I mean, when you’re standing on one of the upper floors looking out over Seville’s terracotta rooftops – especially during that golden hour before sunset – you get why they went with such a dramatic name. The location on Calle Martín Villa puts you right in the thick of the old town, which is both a blessing and something to know going in. You’re literally walking distance from the Cathedral (I’m talking like a genuine 5-minute stroll), but you’ll hear the occasional tourist group chattering past your window, especially during the spring months when everyone’s doing the Seville-Córdoba-Granada circuit.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to feel modern without losing that Sevillan character. The building itself has this lovely façade that fits right into the neighborhood – you know, none of that jarring contemporary glass stuff that sticks out like a sore thumb. Inside, though, it’s all crisp lines and actually decent air conditioning, which… well, if you’ve been to Seville in July, you’ll appreciate that more than any marble lobby. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star, but the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious – I always notice this stuff because hotel bathrooms are usually afterthoughts. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many hotel employees just point you toward the obvious tourist spots. These folks will tell you which tapas bar on Calle Álvarez Quintero doesn’t jack up prices for foreigners, or when the morning market on Calle Feria is worth the walk.

Here’s the thing about staying in Seville’s old town – and this applies to this hotel specifically – parking is going to be an adventure. The streets around Calle Martín Villa are narrow and mostly pedestrian-friendly, which is charming until you’re dragging luggage. But honestly? Once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything’s walkable, and I mean everything. Plaza de Armas is close enough that you can catch buses or trains to other cities without any hassle. The Alcázar is practically around the corner, and you can wander into those tiny streets near Plaza Santa Cruz and get completely, wonderfully lost. That 9.7 rating isn’t some fluke either – the place just works. Clean, comfortable, the kind of spot where you can recharge after a day of wandering through the Barrio Santa Cruz, and the location means you’re never more than a few minutes from incredible food or that perfect evening drink overlooking the Guadalquivir.

  The view was stellar. Even though we visited in late December one would think it’s too cold to enjoy the huge private balcony. However the for a couple hours each afternoon we still enjoyed sitting outside. The best part was the view and the Sunrise! This apartment is also well appointed with nice well stocked kitchen, nice furniture. I also loved all the natural light we had in this apartment. It was bright and cheerful.

  What a view – wow … being in the 8th floor in the old town of Sevilla gives you the possibility to see everything (from the old cathedral to the new Seta); and all this from your private terracy – terracy which offers you all you need for a stay in a city (i.e. large table to eat / a lounge corner / a very good and comprehensive sun protection). But also inside you have all you need for a comfortable stay (big refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, big television). Comfortable bed – and a well functioning shower make that you spend a great time here!

  De locatie is super, het uitzicht is super, de faciliteiten zijn prima ( o.a. gratis koffie en thee) , de bedden zijn goed en het is schoon. Heel goed verzorgd allemaal.
