Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about CLB Apartamento Alameda? It’s tucked into this perfect little corner where Estrellita Castro meets Calle Reposo – honestly, if you didn’t know it was there, you’d walk right past it. But that’s actually part of the charm. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Cathedral (I could hear the bells from my window), yet it feels like you’ve found this quiet pocket that most tourists miss entirely. The building itself has that gorgeous Sevillian character – you know, the kind with weathered stone and wrought iron that makes you want to take photos of literally everything.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, which is rare in Seville’s old town where most places feel like they were carved out of medieval closets. Mine had these lovely tile floors that stayed cool even during the brutal August heat, and the air conditioning – thank god – actually worked properly. I’ve stayed in plenty of four-star places in Spain where the AC is more decorative than functional, but this wasn’t one of them. The kitchen was well-equipped too, which matters if you’re planning to grab fresh ingredients from the Sunday market at Alameda de Hércules (it’s maybe a seven-minute walk, perfect for morning coffee runs). The only minor thing I noticed was that the shower pressure could be better – not terrible, just not great – but honestly, after walking around Seville all day, you’re grateful for any shower at all.

What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge you get from staying here. The staff actually knows the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this tiny tapas place on a side street that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in the city. You’re close enough to everything that matters (the Giralda, Plaza de Armas, even the Triana bridge), but far enough from the main tourist drags that you can actually sleep at night. I stayed during Feria week – probably not my smartest planning decision – and while the city was absolutely bonkers, this little area stayed relatively calm. Plus, there’s decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Seville, though I’d honestly recommend just walking everywhere once you’re settled in. The whole experience felt less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s apartment in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually experience a place rather than just check it off a list.

Reviews

  • Harold from United States – 12 April 2025 (9/10)

It had everything I needed. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Alvarado was very nice and helpful with places to see and sat

  • Caimin from Ireland – 19 January 2025 (8/10)

Very comfortable apartment on first floor of a reasonably modern building with traditional Spanish architectural features. Space was quite adequate for two people. All appliances in good order and an adequate supply of kitchen utensils. Nice bathroom with walk-in shower.
Location on Alameda de Hercules suited us perfectly. Convenience shop so close it could hardly be nearer. The Alameda is an authentic neighbourhood with restaurants and bars. Dined often in Las Columnas with lots of locals.

What could be improved: Not much except the fresh towels we requested failed to materialise

  • Sally from Malta – 28 May 2024 (9/10)

Alvaro the host was super friendly and very responsive.
Apartment was just right for 3 people.
Big shower, had ironing facilities, fully airconditioned.
Hardly any noises heard from outside
Good locatilon close to many bars and restaurants
Very good value for money as well .
    Seville is so beautiful.

What could be improved: Everyghing was great

  • L from Morocco – 6 November 2023 (9/10)

Good location next to a lot of bars & restaurants but peaceful at the same time. The host was very helpful and friendly and the apartment was very clean and tidy. 100% would recommend or use again. It is also nicely equipped with a very comfortable bed

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Fraser from New Zealand – 14 October 2023 (9/10)

Great host, brilliant location, excellent facilities. Highly recommend Bar Antojo up the road. Excellent base for exploring Seville

What could be improved: Stretching here but did have trouble getting the coffee machine to work… Son said the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable

  • Jane from Australia – 23 May 2025 (7/10)

Check-in was clearly communicated and easy. Roomy apartment and care with cushions on couch etc. Apartment in a nice complex with courtyard and lots of pots. Well maintained.

What could be improved: Slow stream of contuous water from the toilet and toilet seat broken. Also button to flush was workable but no longer fitted properly No dish rack or tea towel in kitchen – although iron and ironing board!

  • Elena from Croatia – 2 May 2024 (8/10)

Great location in a very lively neighborhood with lot of bars and tapas and the apartment is in a quiet street. Good communication with the host. Parking can be found for free in nearby streets. Kitchen and bathroom equipped with all amenities.

What could be improved: The mattress was uncomfortable and awkward to sleep on. The lack of blinds on the bedroom window, so too much light from the street comes in and disturbs sleep

  • Tetiana from Ukraine – 17 February 2024 (8/10)

    Great location! Beautiful patio.

What could be improved: Old and uncomfortable sofa, noisy air conditioner

  • Aleksandra from Poland – 17 November 2023 (7/10)

    Great location, friendly host, spacious

What could be improved: Shower facilities could be more comfortable, noises during night

  • Heather from United States – 29 November 2022 (9/10)

Really beautiful property in a lovely complex. It was great to walk past the courtyard gardens daily. Neighbors were mostly residential so it was pretty quiet. Nice layout, well equipped. It was great to have laundry facilities, and the water pressure on the shower was wonderful. This is a great neighborhood, bustling and vibrant, but you're pretty well insulated from noise.

What could be improved: blackout curtains would be great in the bedroom since there's a street light on all night, and a slightly better mattress would be good. These are relatively minor, though, and overall I had a wonderful stay.
