Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Corazón de Triana? The name actually means something here – it really does feel like you’re staying in the heart of this neighborhood, and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking up Calle Alfarería, you’ll notice this isn’t some touristy strip lined with souvenir shops. It’s where actual Sevillanos live, where you’ll hear kids playing in the evening and smell someone’s grandmother making gazpacho from an open window.

The hotel itself is honestly a bit of a surprise from the outside – nothing too flashy, which I actually appreciated after seeing so many overdone places in the city center. But once you’re inside, it’s clear someone put real thought into this place. The rooms have this warm, lived-in feeling without being cluttered, and the beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, trust me). What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night – Triana has this residential calm that you just don’t get if you stay near the cathedral area. The walls are thick enough that you won’t hear your neighbors, but thin enough that you’ll catch the occasional guitar drifting up from the street, which honestly felt pretty magical around 10 PM when people start their evening strolls.

Here’s the thing about staying in Triana that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re technically across the river from Seville’s main sights, but it’s maybe a 12-minute walk to the cathedral, and you get to cross the Puente de Isabel II every time, which never gets old. More importantly, you’re surrounded by some of the city’s best tapas bars that tourists haven’t completely discovered yet. There’s this little place called Bar Bistec about three blocks away where they do these incredible prawns, and the bartender will actually remember your order by the third night. The hotel staff knew about spots like this – not in an overly rehearsed way, but like they actually eat there themselves. Check-in was smooth, no drama with the key cards, and they had decent English when my Spanish failed me (which happened more than I’d like to admit). The only minor thing was that parking can be tricky on this street – there’s a public lot about five minutes away, but if you’re planning to drive around Seville much, well, don’t. Walk everywhere, seriously. That 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works the way it should, and you end up feeling like you’re staying in a neighborhood rather than just visiting one.

  Central location in Triana, apartment remained cool despite 39c outside. Air conditioning works really well as the average temperature during the day was 35-40c
  
  What could be improved: Nothing but perhaps some basic kitchen supplies like tea/coffee and laundry detergent might help

  Excellent taste in decor, kitchen fully equipped even though I only used the refrigerator for water bottles. This place will be on top of my list. Well situated step out the door and you have lots of place to dine and enjoy Sevilla’s tapas w/ a caña or a cop of wine. The staff very attentive. Thank you Lola and Philip.

  L'appartamento è molto accogliente e si trova nel cuore della movida di Triana, a pochi passi dal ponte Isabel che collega il centro storico di Siviglia e dal suggestivo mercato, dove è possibile fare ottime colazioni e pranzi.
  Felipe e Lola sono persone straordinarie e molto disponibili, mi hanno dato diversi consigli su dove andare a mangiare buoni piatti senza spendere troppo.
  Se mai dovessi tornare a Siviglia, sicuramente tornerò qui.
