Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Plaza de los Curtidores, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The square itself is tucked away in this maze of narrow streets in Seville’s old quarter, and honestly, finding it the first time had me wandering around with my phone GPS going crazy between all those medieval walls. But you know what? That slightly hidden location is actually part of what makes Curtidores Atico special.

The building itself sits right on this charming little plaza that most tourists never stumble across – it’s got that authentic neighborhood feel where you’ll see locals heading to the corner bar for their morning café con leche. The hotel occupies what’s clearly a renovated traditional Sevillian building, and they’ve done a really thoughtful job keeping the character intact. I mean, you’re literally sleeping in a piece of the city’s history here, which sounds cheesy but it’s true. The rooms I’ve seen have these gorgeous original details – thick walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer months (trust me on this, Seville in July is no joke), and some have these tiny balconies that overlook the plaza where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the neighborhood come alive in the evenings.

What really impressed me, though, is how they’ve managed to blend the old-world charm with modern comfort. The bathrooms are properly updated – none of that “rustic” nonsense where you’re dealing with temperamental plumbing. The beds are actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given in these historic properties. And the staff genuinely knows the neighborhood; they’ll point you toward the little tapas place around the corner on Calle Dos de Mayo that doesn’t even have a sign but serves the best montaditos in the area. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the Cathedral and Alcázar, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds and street performers at all hours. The walk takes you through some of the prettiest backstreets in Santa Cruz – I actually prefer it to staying right in the main tourist zone because you get a real sense of how the city flows and breathes. Parking is tricky (this is old Seville, after all), but there’s a public lot about five minutes away, and honestly, once you’re settled, you won’t need a car anyway. The whole historic center is perfectly walkable, and the tram stop isn’t far if you want to venture out to Triana or the newer parts of town.

  The information from the owner was superb for access and through our whole stay at the apartment . The apartment was well laid out, with everything that anyone could want. The roof terrace was a lovely bonus.
  A real bonus is the apartment is off a nice square with a lovely real Spanish bar, good food and beer, open all the time, with good staff
  
  What could be improved: It was all just perfect, anyone staying should obviously note that as a roof terrace apartment, with no lift, there's are several steps to the apartment.

  Great location in a nice, quiet plaza, close to all the sights. Easy check in with information provided by the always helpful and communicative host Maria. Absolutely perfect for a solo or 2 person stay – the apartment has all you need, clean, and on the top floor with a very nice balcony. Can't fault anything about it, would definitely recommend and I'd happily return should I be in Sevilla again!

  Inside old town. Walking distance to everything.
  Washing machine came in handy as we where there for several days. Kitchenette was just enough for what we needed.

  El apartamento está en un lugar muy conveniente, a 10 minutos andando de casi todas las atracciones turísticas. Además estaba muy limpio y es igual que en las imágenes, con un montón de accesorios para la cocina y utensilios para el pelo como secador o planchas. María José, la propietaria, fue muy atenta con todo.

  Ottima posizione, vicino al centro storico e con ristoranti e supermercati nelle vicinanze. Appartamento superaccessoriato e gestore molto cortese e disponibile.

  Appartement proche du centre ville (maxi 5 min à pied). Logement propre, concordant avec sa description et la terrasse est top pour se rafraîchir le soir après les longues balades faites en journée.
