You know what struck me first about Dreaming Sevilla? The building itself – it’s tucked into this narrow cobblestone street called Placentines that most tourists walk right past, even though they’re literally steps from the Cathedral. I mean, you’re in the heart of Barrio Santa Cruz here, where every corner has some story carved into centuries-old stone, but somehow this little boutique spot feels like a secret only locals would know about.

The thing is, staying right in the old town can be tricky – some places are all charm and no comfort, or they’re so “renovated” they’ve lost their soul. Dreaming Sevilla actually nails that balance. The rooms have this understated elegance (think exposed beams and carefully chosen antiques) without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum. Honestly, after walking those maze-like streets all day – and trust me, you will get delightfully lost at least twice – it’s nice to come back somewhere that feels both authentic and, well, civilized. The air conditioning works properly too, which you’ll appreciate come July when Seville turns into an actual oven.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get that travelers want real recommendations, not just the obvious stuff. They pointed me toward this tiny tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to catch flamenco, they steered me away from the touristy spots toward something more genuine in Triana. Parking’s always going to be a nightmare in this part of the city – that’s just Old Town Seville for you – but they sorted out a garage situation that saved me from circling those impossibly narrow streets with a rental car. The mornings are pretty magical here actually; before the tour groups arrive, you can walk to Plaza de Armas with just the sound of your footsteps echoing off the buildings and maybe a few locals heading to work. The hotel sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything that matters but just removed enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds under your window all night. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s got that rare quality of feeling both special and comfortable, which is harder to find than you’d think.

  Wir wurden im Vorfeld über unseren Ansprechpartner vor Ort informiert. Die Kontaktaufnahme per WhatsApp klappte problemlos. Die Schlüsselübergabe wurde so arrangiert, dass es mit unserer Ankunft am Flughafen perfekt für beide Seiten passte, obwohl unser Flug ca. 1 Stunde Verspätung hatte. Wir haben auch Empfehlungen für Abendessen und Einkauf bekommen.
  Das Appartment ist vollumfänglich ausgestattet, alles was man benötigt um ein paar Tage über die Runden zu kommen liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Hauptattraktionen von Sevilla sind alle fußläufig erreichbar, das Ambiente des Appartments mit dem Innenhof ist echt der Hammer. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, obwohl es mit Sicherheit eines der älteren Bauwerke ist.
  Alles in Allem sehr empfehlenswert. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Sevilla fahren, würden wir auf jeden Fall versuchen wieder das Appartment zu bekommen !

  De locatie was in één woord geweldig en bevindt zich in de gezellige wijk Santa Cruz, net onder de Giralda. Het is druk, maar binnen heb je er nauwelijks last van. De entree en patio zijn práchtig (met veel planten en bomen) waar je overigens geen gebruik van mag maken. Het huis is heel gezellig en alles is aanwezig, overal is aan gedacht. De inrichting is ouderwets en veel leuker dan het saaie hotel chique of doorsnee modern.
  Het was fris maar ik kreeg het door het losse verwarmingselement toch warm.
  De ontvangst door Angela was heel hartelijk en mijn vragen werden binnen enkele minuten beantwoord.
  
  What could be improved: Ik vond het vrij donker en ik vond het jammer dat de ramen niet open konden. Dit zou me er niet van weerhouden om terug te komen.
