Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Seville, but El Naranjito de Triana honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes you book a place and cross your fingers it’s decent? Well, this one actually delivered. It’s tucked right on Calle Pagés del Corro, which – if you don’t know Triana – is basically the heart of this whole neighborhood that feels like a completely different city from the main tourist zone across the river. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Guadalquivir, but you’re staying where actual sevillanos live and work. The morning I checked in, there were old guys already nursing cortados at the bar next door at 8 AM, and honestly, that’s when you know you’ve found the real Seville.

What I really loved about this place is how it feels like someone put actual thought into the details. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Europe, after all – but they’re designed smart. Good AC (trust me, you’ll need it if you’re visiting between May and September), decent WiFi, and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you wondering if you slept on a park bench. The bathroom situation is solid too, with proper water pressure, which… well, anyone who’s traveled around Spain knows that’s not always a given. One thing though – if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. Triana gets lively at night, especially on weekends, and Spanish dinner doesn’t start until 10 PM, so the streets can buzz pretty late.

Here’s what makes this spot special: you’re positioned perfectly to actually experience Seville like a local. Walk ten minutes toward the river and you hit the Mercado de Triana – amazing for breakfast or just wandering around the food stalls. The Isabel II bridge is right there when you want to cross over to the cathedral area, but honestly, I found myself spending more time exploring the ceramics shops and tapas bars on the Triana side. There’s this little place called Bar Anselma where they do flamenco shows that aren’t touristy at all – locals pack in there Thursday through Saturday nights. The hotel staff actually pointed me toward spots like that, which you don’t always get at bigger chain places. Oh, and parking – if you’re driving, there’s a public garage about three blocks away. Street parking is pretty much impossible, so factor that in. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a well-run neighborhood hotel. You’re paying for location and authenticity here, not marble lobbies and room service, and that trade-off is absolutely worth it if you want to see Seville beyond the postcard version.

  There is a lovely private patio at the back of the ground floor apartment which increased the living area.
  The location was excellent and the apartment block was quiet, we didn't see or hear other guests.
  
  What could be improved: No washing machine and the option for a mid week clean and fresh towels would have been good

  Nice quaint apartment. Spacious and clean. 24 mins away from the Centro. Great facilities and host was accessible for smooth check in experience.
  
  We just had a bit of smell couple of times when we entered. It felt like an issue with the sewage system but it didn't last.

  The location was perfect for exploring Seville, being in the Triana district which has lots of bars, restaurants and Flamenco shows. The apartment is within walking distance of all the main attractions in Seville and close to the river.

  The location was fabulous it was outside the busy crowded areas but only a short walk across the Triana bridge.A lift right to the apartment door ,very quiet as only one other apartment on each level.Safe and very comfortable

  Smooth check in by Lucia at appointed time. Had her phone number but thankfully didn't need to contact her as all was great with the apartment. Triana was a vibrant area to stay in, plenty of restaurants and bars and great recommendations from Lucia. It was a nice stroll into the centre. Would have no hesitation in returning and staying there again.

  The kitchen also doesn’t have a safe or practical plug for the kettle and toaster.
