You know what caught me off guard about El Patio de San Bernardo? I was expecting just another boutique hotel in Sevilla’s historic center, but this place actually sits in Nervión – which, honestly, turned out to be brilliant. I mean, you’re still only about 15 minutes from the Cathedral and all that tourist madness, but you get to stay in a neighborhood where actual sevillanos live. Calle Gallinato itself is this quiet residential street where you’ll hear kids playing football in the evening and smell whatever amazing thing your neighbor is cooking for dinner.

The hotel feels like someone converted their family’s old mansion and actually cared about keeping its soul intact. There’s this gorgeous central patio (hence the name) that becomes the heart of everything – you’ll find yourself gravitating there for morning coffee or an evening drink, especially when the jasmine starts blooming in spring. The rooms have that perfect balance of old Andalusian charm and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. I’m talking original tile work and thick walls that keep things blissfully cool, but also proper air conditioning and rainfall showers that actually work. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where staff remembers your name after one night, and they’ll give you directions to the little tapas bar around the corner that doesn’t even have a sign.

What I loved most about staying in Nervión is that you’re right by the María Luisa Park – perfect for morning runs – and there’s a proper neighborhood market just a few blocks away where you can grab fresh fruit and those incredible aceitunas sevillanas. The metro stop is practically next door, so getting into the city center is actually easier than if you were staying in some cramped hotel in Barrio Santa Cruz where taxis can’t even reach you. Plus, parking is possible here (good luck with that in the old town), and the streets are wide enough that you don’t feel claustrophobic. Evenings are lovely because you get that authentic Sevilla vibe – families out for paseos, local bars where they know how to pour a proper manzanilla, and zero crowds of tourists taking selfies every five feet. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because you’ve accidentally fallen into the rhythm of local life.

  The property was just as described as were the facilities. It was close to a big hotel and supermarket it was very quiet and peaceful. You accessed it by lift from an internal courtyard. There was a taxi rank from outside the hotel and cost €7 to get to the cathedral. .
  
  What could be improved: It’s on a very narrow cobbled street. The underground parking was far too tight to get a suv in through the gates. We had to park at the muni or carpark just a short walk away it was only €3 per day for expensive than the apartments underground carpark.
  There was no welcome pack or any advice on the nearest shop, attractions etc
  The decor was “Shabby Chic” although personally I’d have said more shabby than chic… wobbly tables no where to put cases etc

  Spacieux. Très confortable et fonctionnel. Super accueil et grande disponibilité de Lola. Je recommande vivement cet appartement. Il est dans un immeuble où des gens vivent, pas seulement de l’hébergement touristique. Ça change beaucoup pour le contact et l’atmosphère. Super emplacement. Très calme et proche du parc.

  位置特别好，离广场、大教堂和美食街都很近。而且极其安静，能听到的唯一噪音就是鸟叫了。屋里设备也很齐全，短住长住都能满足。

  What could be improved: Purtroppo che non si sia organizzata per i viaggiatori ,che ripartono in serata dovendo lasciare l'immobile entro le 11.00 con una soluzioni che permetta di lasciare i bagagli diventa fastidioso. Il deposito più vicino lo trovi a 4 km.

  En un mot : Tout ! Le logement est très confortable, très bien équipé pour un séjour de plusieurs jours. L'endroit très calme et à seulement quelques minutes à pied de Santa Cruz et des lieux très animés du Centre. L'accueil de Veronica est très sympathique et chaleureux.
  C'est une excellente adresse que je recommande.
