You know what caught me off guard about El Salvador City Center Suite? The name makes it sound like some corporate chain hotel, but honestly, it’s got this boutique feel that works really well in Old Town Seville. I mean, you’re literally on Calle Álvarez Quintero – and if you don’t know that street, it’s basically a stone’s throw from the Cathedral and those narrow cobblestone alleys where tourists get wonderfully lost taking photos.

The suite setup is actually pretty clever here. Instead of cramming you into a standard hotel box, you get proper living space that feels more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed apartment. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – there’s a Mercadona about ten minutes away if you want to grab some jamón and cheese for a lazy morning, though honestly, you’ll probably end up at one of the cafés spilling onto Plaza del Salvador instead. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you’re there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but everything works and the details feel thought through. Good water pressure (trust me, this matters after walking around Seville in summer), decent AC that doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and windows that actually block out the street noise – which you’ll appreciate since Spanish nightlife runs pretty late.

What I really liked was how it sits in that sweet spot where you’re deep enough in the old quarter to feel like you’re experiencing authentic Seville, but you’re not so buried that getting an Uber becomes a twenty-minute explanation of which tiny alley you’re on. The building itself has that classic Andalusian vibe without feeling like a museum, and the staff actually knows the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this little tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise. Sure, you’ll hear some street activity during the day (it’s a living, breathing part of the city after all), but by Spanish standards it’s pretty manageable. The check-in was straightforward too – none of that awkward lobby hovering while they hunt for your reservation. If you’re the type who wants to feel like a temporary local rather than a tourist passing through, and you appreciate having space to spread out after long days wandering around the Alcázar and getting lost in Santa Cruz, this place gets it right. Just don’t expect a pool or gym – you’re in the heart of one of Europe’s most walkable cities, so the streets are your fitness center.

  A spacious apartment in a great location with good air con and wifi. It has everything you'd need and was very clean. Great meet and greet service too.
  
  What could be improved: It had a bit of a smell like damp in the apartment and it's a bit dated. The bed in the double without an en suite was uncomfortable.

  Location was great. Short walking distance to most of the top attractions.
  
  What could be improved: -When entering the apartment, there was often a strong sewage smell.
  -Though perhaps nothing that the apartment could do about it, there was lots of outside noise throughout the night. Rubbish being collected, streets being cleaned, restaurants closing. Not the best nights sleep.
  -Lastly, I don't appreciate the apartment telling me what review and scoring to give.

  Excellently located apartment with a beautiful view over Plaza El Salvador. I loved listening the the hustle and bustle of the square, both setting up in the morning and full of life at night. Even so, it was peaceful enough during sleeping hours. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. Check in was easy. We ate breakfast in a couple of different cafés in the square below, tapas as well, and got a quick night time drink in the bars below the apartment too. Perfect all round.
  
  What could be improved: I slept in the exterior facing room and the bed is comfortable but very squeaky every time you move. Luckily I wear ear plugs anyway so couldn't hear the noise I was making 😂

  Great location, cleaning essentials provided, clean apartment but foul smelling drains.
  
  What could be improved: On arrival taxi dropped us off on main road and we were directed up the street but couldn’t find the apartment. I received a call from the person who was to meet me at the property but he couldn’t understand a word of English and was unable to give me directions or address hence we arrived later than expected. The guy appeared annoyed that we had got lost and were late – he showed us into the room and left without explaining were anything was or how to work air con etc.
