Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Elegant and Luxury 2Bd 2bth- Alfalfa,” I thought it sounded like someone threw together a bunch of booking site keywords. But you know what? Sometimes these places surprise you, and this one absolutely did. Tucked away on Calle Descalzos (which literally means “barefoot street” – love that), this apartment sits right in the heart of Seville’s old town, where the cobblestones are worn smooth and every corner feels like it has stories to tell.
The location is honestly incredible – I mean, you’re basically living like a local in one of the most atmospheric parts of the city. The Alfalfa neighborhood is this perfect mix of residential charm and tourist accessibility, where you’ll hear flamenco drifting from bars late at night but can still grab groceries at the little market on the corner. The building itself has that classic Sevillian thing going on with the interior courtyard and the wrought iron – you know, that Instagram-worthy architecture that actually makes practical sense in the heat. The apartment is on the second floor (which is actually the third floor if you’re American, always throws me off), and yes, there’s no elevator, but honestly the climb isn’t bad and it keeps the place quieter.
What really got me was the attention to detail inside. The two bedrooms are genuinely comfortable – not just “vacation rental comfortable” where you’re grateful for clean sheets, but actually well-designed spaces where you’d want to spend time. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, and there’s this great natural light that flows through in the mornings. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters if you’re planning to make breakfast with those amazing tomatoes from the Feria market (just a five-minute walk, by the way).
One thing to know – the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights, especially during festival season, but that’s part of the charm of staying in this neighborhood. You’re not in some sanitized hotel bubble; you’re in actual Seville where people live and celebrate. The building has thick walls though, so it’s really not a problem unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper. Parking is… well, it’s old town Seville, so forget about it. But honestly, you won’t need a car anyway – everything worth seeing is walkable, and the tram stop at Plaza Nueva is maybe eight minutes on foot.
The hosts clearly know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they left local recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps, and when I had a question about the washing machine, they responded within an hour. That 8.5 rating makes total sense to me. It’s not trying to be some luxury resort experience, but it nails what it’s actually going for: a comfortable, well-located base for exploring one of Spain’s most enchanting cities. If you want to feel like you’re living in Seville rather than just visiting it, this is exactly the kind of place that delivers on that promise.

What could be improved: Way too noisy , impossible to get any sleep for duration of our stay.
Needs a deep cleanAnonymous from Ireland – 27 November 2022 (5/10)
The property was in an excellent location . The beds were very comfortable, the property was also very modern and clean with very comfortable furnishings. It was tastefully decorated, bright and there were modern appliances in the kitchen .
What could be improved: Unfortunately there was a serious plumbing issue. There was a bad smell in the en-suite bathroom but we coped with that by leaving the window open all the time. In the second bath room there was no window or extraction fan . During our second week on 2 days there were noxious fumes in this bath room and it was unusable….a smell that was coming straight from the sewage drains. As a result we had to share a bath room and this wasn’t acceptable as the partition was glass which made using the toilet during the night difficult
The maintenance guy came but this issue will require construction work to remedy the problem .Rosa from Italy – 31 March 2025 (9/10)
