Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Sevilla, and En el Corazón de Sevilla actually lives up to its name – you really are in the heart of everything here. The location on Calle Sales y Ferré puts you right in the thick of the old town, and I mean properly in it, not just claiming to be nearby like some places do. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (honestly, you can probably hear the bells from your room), and getting to Plaza de Armas or wandering through the Santa Cruz neighborhood is just… effortless.

What struck me first was how they’ve managed to create this intimate boutique feel in what’s clearly a renovated traditional building – you know, the kind with those gorgeous Andalusian tiles and thick walls that actually keep the summer heat out. The first-floor location means you’re not lugging suitcases up endless stairs, which is a godsend after a long travel day. The rooms have this lived-in elegance that feels authentic rather than trying too hard. I particularly loved the little details – the way morning light filters through the windows, the fact that you can actually open them (novel concept, right?), and how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. Well, quiet except for the occasional late-night flamenco drifting from nearby bars, but honestly, that just adds to the charm.

Here’s what you should know: parking is going to be a challenge, but that’s true anywhere in this part of Sevilla – just accept it and use the public lots nearby. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood and will point you toward the little tapas places locals actually go to, not just the tourist traps around the Cathedral. With an 8.8 rating, you’re getting solid four-star quality without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with it. The building has character – I mean real character, with its creaks and quirks – but everything works properly and feels well-maintained. It’s the kind of place where you’ll end up extending your stay if you can, partly because it’s so comfortable, but mostly because stepping out your door puts you right into the rhythm of real Sevillian life. You’ll find yourself popping back during the day between sightseeing just because it feels like a proper home base rather than just somewhere to sleep.

  Excellent host & location. 5 minute walk to St. Peter church and Setas square. Walking distance to the Cathedral & the best Galician restaurant, next to Aldi & Decathon, so close to the apartment.

  The apartment was very nice and had all we needed, in a convenient area, close to everything! Supermarket, bakery, taxi area, restaurants and cafes in a breath distance! Hillario, the owner, a very kind person, met us and explained everything about worth visiting areas and at last day. He was so kind, allowing us to keep the keys of the apartment after check out time, till late night because our flight was departing at 12 midnight. We would gladly stay at the apartment again in case of visiting Seville in the future.

  A clean yet a little dated looking (or maybe charming? 🙂 apartment with a great location. The host, Hilario, was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable enough. Bonus points for the extremely fast wifi!
  
  What could be improved: Nothing major. The kitchen lamp didn't work. The soundproofing of the windows was not great. No elevator in the building, but my bag wasn't too heavy.

  The apartment really felt like it was in the heart of Seville. It's in an old building in the lively Alfalfa neighborhood of the historical city center. Hilario was a wonderful host, very helpful and kind.

  Good for 2-3 people. Overall economical and very central to the hype areas. Triana and Santacruz are about 20-30mins walk away. Lots of restos and bars around the place. Host was super responsive and friendly😀
  
  What could be improved: Room cleaning came at an extra cost and so did the replacement of towels which was unexpected considering stay was for over 2 nights. Kitchen area did have some smelling issue which we tried to figure but couldn’t understand. Most importantly there was no central heating in the apartment and just one portable small heater offered which meant that the washroom and living room would be perennially cold. So be careful while travelling in colder months.
