You know what really got me about this place? The moment you step inside, you forget you’re in an apartment building on a busy street in Seville’s old quarter. I mean, Calle Jesús del Gran Poder isn’t exactly quiet – it’s one of those narrow streets where delivery trucks squeeze through at 7 AM and locals chat loudly outside the corner bar – but somehow none of that matters once you’re up on the second floor.

The Encantador Ático genuinely lives up to its name, honestly. The terrace is the real showstopper here, and I’m not just saying that because every listing mentions it. When you step out there in the evening with a glass of whatever, you’re looking out over this maze of terracotta rooftops that seems to stretch forever. During the day you can actually see people going about their business in the neighboring buildings – laundry hanging, kids playing, that sort of authentic Sevillian life you can’t get from a hotel room facing another hotel. The furniture out there is comfortable too, not the plastic stuff you sometimes get. I spent way too many mornings out there with coffee, watching the city wake up.

Inside, everything feels thoughtfully put together without being precious about it. The apartment has this lived-in quality – like someone actually chose each piece of furniture instead of ordering everything from a catalog. The kitchen is small but well-equipped (I made breakfast most days), and the bedroom stays surprisingly cool even in late spring when Seville starts getting seriously warm. Air conditioning works well, which honestly is non-negotiable here. The bathroom is modern and spacious, though the water pressure can be a bit temperamental – nothing dramatic, just typical old building quirks.

Location-wise, you’re really in the thick of things. The Cathedral is maybe a ten-minute walk, and you’ll pass about five tapas bars that locals actually frequent – not tourist traps. There’s a little grocery store right around the corner on Calle Feria that stocks decent wine and those amazing olives Seville does so well. Parking is basically impossible on the street itself, but there’s a public garage about three blocks away that’s not too expensive by city center standards. The neighborhood gets lively at night – not rowdy, just alive in that distinctly Spanish way where families are still out at 11 PM.

What really impressed me was how well everything worked. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi was actually fast enough for video calls, and when I had a question about the washing machine, someone responded within an hour. It’s clear whoever runs this place pays attention to details. The 9.4 rating makes complete sense – this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back to Seville, partly because you know you’ve got somewhere genuinely nice to stay that doesn’t cost a fortune or feel like a generic hotel room.

    The flat is clean and spacious. Both bedrooms were comfortable. The outdoor terraza was a big plus and great to relax in the afternoon.
    Despite not being close to the main attractions there are good bars and restaurants in the area.

    The apartment is nice, well decorated and has a lot of space.
    It can accommodate easily 4 people. The terrace was nice and it is generally quiet even though it close to a busy area.

    What could be improved: We had a difficulty in finding parking place, since the nearby parking place was full. We had to park far away.
    We had found some hair in several spots around the apartment, it was clean overall though.
    We have not met the hosts, we received messages and directions only in spanish language. We needed constantly to google translate, it would be better if they wrote the texts in english
