Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and this little apartment on Calle Francos hits different – in the best way possible. When I first walked up to number 40, I’ll be honest, the building looks pretty ordinary from the street. But once you climb up to 1ºB (there’s no elevator, just so you know), you’re stepping into what feels like someone’s really thoughtful take on what a romantic getaway should actually be.

The thing about Calle Francos is that you’re literally in the thick of everything without being on one of those tourist-packed streets where you can’t sleep because of the flamenco shows going until 2 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler – it’s Seville’s old town, after all – but it’s more like pleasant background hum than chaos. What really got me was how they’ve set up the space inside. It’s clearly designed for two people who actually want to spend time together, not just crash after sightseeing. The lighting is warm and dimmed just right, there’s this cozy seating area where you can actually have a conversation, and honestly, the bed situation is perfect for lazy Sunday mornings when you don’t want to rush out to see the cathedral.

Here’s what I loved most though – the location gives you options. You can walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re also close enough to some of the better local bars that tourists haven’t completely discovered yet. There’s this tiny place around the corner where they do amazing montaditos, and the woman who runs it remembered my order by the third day. That’s the kind of neighborhood feel you get here. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about driving here. But the taxi ride from Santa Justa station is quick and cheap, and once you’re settled, you honestly won’t need anything else. The apartment itself feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a rental – everything works properly (the shower pressure is actually great), the kitchen has real coffee, not those terrible pods, and there are thoughtful touches like good towels and decent hangers. You know what surprised me? How quiet it gets at night despite being so central. The windows face the street but they’re well-sealed, so you get that perfect combination of being connected to the city’s energy during the day while still being able to sleep peacefully.

Reviews

  • Zita from Hungary – 16 June 2025 (9/10)

The accommodation is very cozy and is located in the historic city center, a few minutes walk from the main attractions.

  • Kevin from United States – 17 March 2025 (9/10)

Location is great, on one of the small winding streets with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Short walk to the Cathedral. The apartment was comfortable and quiet for the location. You pick up your keys from a lock box on the door which made check in a breeze. Once key opened the gate and entry to the apartment complex, the other opened the apartment. It felt totally safe and secure.

What could be improved: There is only a washing machine and no dryer, just drying rack. We found a great laundry close by which did all our clothes for 10 euros.

  • Christina from United States – 27 December 2024 (9/10)

The location is excellent — right in the historical Santa Cruz neighborhood with views of the cathedral if you go out to the Juliet balcony and look to your right. It’s very nicely decorated, and feels like a home. The bathroom is big and modern, and the water heater is strong. The WiFi is fast, there’s a supermarket a few minutes away, and there’s an elevator if you have luggage. It’s in the pedestrian only area so you’ll get dropped of by a cab approximately 5 min away.

What could be improved: We had a great stay!

  • John from United States – 12 June 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was spotless, very comfortable and the location could not have been better. We would stay there again without a doubt. The location is literally steps away from everything on a very nice street. The cathedral, the Alcazar plaza very, very close.

What could be improved: Getting the key was a little tricky, possibly because of the language.

  • Charles from United States – 27 May 2024 (9/10)

Great location in the center of historic district.

What could be improved: Had to use gate key to leave the building.

  • Hannah from United Kingdom – 12 May 2024 (9/10)

Location was amazing, all the facilities you could need, very clean, good host

What could be improved: Nothing bad

  • Robin from Canada – 4 October 2022 (9/10)

This was our favourite apartment during our trip to Spain. It was spacious with a perfect location, close to everything in the historic centre. Comfortable furnishings, nicely decorated, and very clean. Spacious rooms with good storage. Very comfortable bed. There was some noise at night (a bit more on the weekend) but closing the doors and shutters helped a lot. We realized that we're in the city, so it's expected. Loved watching the activity below from the balconies.

  • Tatjana from Estonia – 21 June 2022 (9/10)

Very nice apartments in the heart of the old town.

  • Chemaine from Australia – 21 May 2025 (8/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Poorly positioned tap over bathroom basin.
Microwave oven door and display didn’t work. No toaster.

  • Jacqueline from United States – 11 April 2025 (6/10)

Location and it is a spacious apartment with comfortable bed. It could be a 10 out of 10.

What could be improved: Check-in was very confusing with multiple communication modes, poor instructions for finding the apartment and the keys. The apartment has great amenities but they are poorly maintained, the bathroom tap is loose and spills water over the sides, soaking the user and the floor, the microwave is difficult to open and use as display is broken, non functional light fixture.
