Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Espectacular casa de 6 dormitorios” I thought it was going to be one of those over-the-top rentals that promises everything and delivers mediocrity. But walking up to this place on Calle General Castaños, I actually stopped in my tracks. This isn’t just some converted apartment building; it’s a proper Sevillian house that someone clearly put serious thought into restoring.
The location is what really got me though. You’re literally in the heart of the old town – I mean, you can practically hear the cathedral bells from the terrazas (and trust me, those morning chimes become your natural alarm clock). What’s brilliant is that you’re tucked away on a quieter street, so you don’t get the constant tourist foot traffic that makes some of the main drags pretty unbearable during peak season. I spent most evenings on one of those two terraces with a beer, watching the light change on the old buildings across the way. The second terrace? Perfect for morning coffee before the day gets too warm – you know how Seville can be in summer.
Inside, it’s clear someone actually lives in places like this, not just designs them for photos. The bathrooms (all seven of them, which is honestly excessive but weirdly practical when you’ve got a big group) have proper water pressure – something I’ve learned not to take for granted in historic buildings. The bedrooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over suitcases, and they managed to keep the traditional high ceilings while adding modern touches that actually work. What impressed me most was the kitchen setup – it’s genuinely equipped for cooking real meals, not just heating up takeout. We grabbed ingredients from the Mercado de la Encarnación (maybe a ten-minute walk) and actually enjoyed preparing dinner instead of feeling like we were roughing it.
The thing about staying here versus some hotel in the newer parts of the city is that you’re really living in Seville’s rhythm. Morning walks to get pastries from the bakery around the corner, afternoon siestas when everything shuts down, evening paseos when the whole neighborhood comes alive again. You’ll hear kids playing in the courtyard next door, smell cooking from neighboring kitchens, feel like you’re part of something instead of just observing it from behind hotel glass. Sure, parking can be a bit of an adventure (welcome to European old towns), but there’s a public garage about five minutes away that won’t break the bank. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no corporate nonsense, just clear instructions and someone who actually answered their phone when I had questions. For what you get, especially split between six bedrooms, it’s honestly a steal compared to booking multiple hotel rooms in this part of the city.

What an amazing house! Spacious, clean and presentable, comfortable, and well located near key attractions. Given that this house is spread out over four levels, the lift was a nice surprise and very handy. Great for suitcases and people with mobility issues. There were so many bonuses to this place. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, each level had its own climate control, good sound insulation (with windows and doors closed), and generously stocked kitchen. The hosts accommodated us last minute after our other accommodation cancelled on us that morning. They were easily contactable and responsive.
What could be improved: There was nothing that we didn't like!
This next comment is not the property's fault, rather something to consider when booking transport. The surrounding streets are quite narrow and a bit of a maze, especially for larger rideshare vans. We had a few cancel on us because they couldn't find or access the place. Thankfully there is a large intersection around the corner so that we could pin our location there.Mataralman from United Arab Emirates – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
The house is truly spacious and beautiful, exactly as shown in the pictures. It was perfect for a large group, with plenty of bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The location was quiet and safe, and the design of the living area was modern and relaxing.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, we were not aware that smoking was strictly prohibited inside the house, and this led to a misunderstanding with the host. It would have been helpful to highlight this rule more clearly in the listing.Ana from Singapore – 6 January 2025 (10/10)
Fantastic place to stay for large groups. We had a family reunion of 12 and we were able to host everyone comfortably. All 6 rooms had their own bathroom, which was a huge plus, and there was an additional bathroom in the top lounge area. This is a 4 story house, so lots of stairs, but it has an elevator inside the house, which was great for my elderly parents. A fantastic location, walking distance to all the main attractions, but in an exceptionally quiet corner of the Arenal neighborhood. Highly recommend this place.
What could be improved: The only thing I would suggest is to have some additional cutlery and serving platters & serving utensils. Other than that we could not think of anything else to improve. Great service all around and would not hesitate to stay here again.Paolo from United States – 10 April 2024 (10/10)
Location, size, cleanliness, well maintained
What could be improved: Need to be more clear on how many rooms are included in the reservation. The reservation and description all say 6 bedrooms. So I booked for 4 adult males and later learned this was only 2 rooms. I had to contact them before I left and pay more for an additional 2 rooms.Sarah from United States – 3 April 2023 (10/10)
We rented the entire property, as we had 8 adults, 2 school-aged kids, and 2 toddlers. The space was perfect for this large family trip—the living and kitchen area is large and beautiful, each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the top floor was a smaller family room with decks (perfect if you have teens with you, for example). We used the kitchen—it is super well-equipped—and the washer and dryer (near the end of our trip). The location was absolutely perfect. It was a 7 minute walk to Catedral/Alcazar (maybe even less) and a 7 minute walk to the Alfalfa area. There was a lot happening in the neighborhood but the house and the street were super quiet. There is an elevator, too. It was super clean, really comfortable. We stayed at some excellent places during our trip to Spain, but everyone’s favorite was this one due to the size and that it felt like you had a real home to stay in.
What could be improved: This was more a misunderstanding (likely on my end), but they do charge by the room. And so I booked it for less people originally than we ended up having, which I thought would be fine as there were plenty of rooms. But they lock the bedrooms that are not needed for the group size (I assume to avoid cleaning and setting them up) and so I had to pay a lot more to use those rooms at the last minute. Unlike other places we stayed in Spain, where the hosts seem to be hosts for just those rentals, this was clearly a company that manages multiple properties and they had lots of forms to fill out, each person had to upload their passport, a selfie, and sign a contract. The website interface was fine but not the easiest. This was a ton of work and a bit of a hassle on my end, as I had to organize it all. I will note that lots of places we stayed or visited required passports, etc. so not totally unique, but it was exacerbated by the realization that I had to pay more money than budgeted (and at the last minute) because I hadn’t actually rented the entirety of the home (even though I thought I had), and lots of communication about that. But, once we were in the house—no issues at all. It was easy, clean, and as expected. They let us keep our luggage on the ground floor after we checked out so we could spend the day in town before heading to the train.Francisco from United Kingdom – 30 March 2023 (10/10)

What could be improved: Er is niets negatief te melden!
