You know what struck me first about Estudio calle baños? The name actually tells you everything you need to know – it’s right there on Calle Baños, smack in the heart of Seville’s old town, and honestly, that location is pure gold. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Cathedral and the Alcázar, but tucked into this narrow street that feels authentically Sevillian rather than tourist-trap central.

The building itself has that classic Andalusian charm – you walk through these heavy wooden doors into a cool, tiled entrance that’s such a relief after wandering those sun-baked cobblestones outside. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the historic character while actually making the place functional for modern travelers. The rooms are compact (hence “estudio” I suppose), but cleverly designed – none of that cramped feeling you sometimes get in converted old buildings. The air conditioning works properly too, which, trust me, matters a lot during those scorching July afternoons when Seville turns into an actual oven.

Here’s the thing about staying in the old town – you’re going to hear church bells. A lot of them. But somehow at this place, maybe because of how the building sits on the street or the way the rooms are oriented, it’s more charming than annoying. You’ll also hear life happening around you – people chatting as they head out for tapas, the occasional flamenco guitar drifting from a nearby bar. It’s not silent, but it’s the good kind of urban soundtrack that makes you feel like you’re really experiencing the city rather than hiding from it in some sterile hotel bubble. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it gets the important stuff right. The staff actually knows the neighborhood (they steered me toward this incredible little tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. Parking is… well, forget about parking right outside, but there’s a decent public garage about a five-minute walk away, which is honestly better than most places in this part of town can offer.

What really sold me on the place was stepping out in the morning and being able to grab proper coffee and tostada at the café literally next door, then wander over to see the Cathedral before the tour groups descended. You’re in the thick of everything that makes Seville special, but you’ve got this quiet little refuge to retreat to when the afternoon heat gets too intense or when you need to regroup between the inevitable multiple-tapas-bar crawl that every Seville evening demands.

  Das war die herzlichste Begrüßung, die wir jemals erlebt haben! Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und doch ruhig in einem Innenhof. In der Gegend gibt es schöne Tapas-Bars und Cafés, auch perfekte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
  
  What could be improved: Durch die Lage ist die Wohnung etwas dunkel (was aber in dieser sonnigen Region durchaus ein Vorteil sein kann) und es riecht im Bad etwas muffig.

  Apartamento súper tranquilo, al ser interior y dar a un patio de vecinos. La ubicación excelente, se puede aparcar relativamente cerca y el barrio con mucho ambiente y todos los servicios. En el centro.

  Es un alojamiento estupendo para pasar unos días en la ciudad. Tiene muy buena ubicación, se puede ir andando a todos los sitios de interés. Además tiene cerca panaderías, supermercados, etc. Una cocina equipada para poder cocinar si no quieres comer fuera. Bien climatizado tanto para invierno como para verano y está limpio. Lo recomiendo al 100%

  Cocina muy bien equipada. Tazas de distintos tamaños y formas. Heladera con freezer muy cómoda y grande. Mesa cómoda para trabajar. El wifi andaba muy bien.
  
  What could be improved: Incómodo el placard para guardar la ropa. Estaba en un pasillo muy estrecho y habia que bajar tres escalones para acceder. No lo usamos. Para ir al baño también habia que bajar esas mismos tres escalones Yo habia reservado para una persona y después se sumó mi hija. Cuando llegamos nos cobraron un extra de 80 euros. No terminé de entender si correspondia o no que nos cobren ese dinero extra. Yo habia avisado que íbamos a hacer dos con mucha anticipación y con varios intercambios de mensajes y nunca nos mencionaron que nos iban a cobrar extra. Nos encontramos con la sorpresa del extra cuando llegamos.
