You know what caught me off guard about Eva Recommends Gamazo? Walking up to this narrow townhouse on Calle Gamazo, I honestly wasn’t expecting much – I mean, the street’s pretty quiet and you’re basically wedged between centuries-old buildings. But stepping inside was like discovering one of those perfectly curated spaces that somehow feels both historic and completely modern at the same time.

The thing about staying here is you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old quarter, but not in that touristy, constantly-dodging-tour-groups way. Calle Gamazo sits just off the main drag, so you’ll hear the clip-clop of horse carriages in the morning (which is actually kind of charming after the first night), but you’re not dealing with the Plaza de Armas crowds right outside your window. I spent most evenings just wandering – you can hit the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes on foot, and honestly, some of the best tapas spots are tucked into these tiny side streets you’d never find otherwise. There’s this little place around the corner where locals actually eat, not just tourists taking Instagram photos of their jamón.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get at this price point. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on, but with enough character that you remember you’re in a 19th-century building – high ceilings, original tile work in some spots, windows that actually open (revolutionary concept, I know). The staff genuinely seems to know Seville inside and out, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out whether that flamenco show is worth it or just a tourist trap. They pointed me toward this tiny gallery space near Plaza del Salvador that I never would’ve found on my own. And honestly, after staying at places where the front desk acts like giving directions is a personal favor, it’s refreshing to talk to people who actually want you to have a good time in their city. The whole operation feels more like staying with knowledgeable friends than checking into a generic hotel – which probably explains why it’s got such a solid reputation among people who’ve actually been there.

  Beautiful apartment, very clean and comfortable. Excellent location near Cathedral and restaurants. Easy in/out keyless system for entry/exit. Excellent communication from Eva.

  If you travel to Seville, you must be stay here. Highly recommended. The location is perfect, nearly 5 to 10 mins to everywhere. The apartment was clean, and everything was thought before for the guests. You can open both main door and flat door from the link was sent, so it’s so easy. Eva was always reachable whenever I asked something like what is the best place to buy flamenco dress 🙂 she gave me all information about the neighborhood, markets, and restaurants. I really enjoyed to stay there, probably for the next time ı’ll be stay there again.

  Luv the Flamenco dolls. Luv the apartment . Luv the location. In the Heart of Seville.
  Beds were very comfortable.
  Place was very clean. (only couch could do with a steam clean (not an issue ) just a suggestion.
  
  This is a must on your list. (Raw marvellous experience and free of charge) And one of the main attractions.

  The less touristy restaurants and more of the local ones so visitors can experience the real Seville. 😉 and support the locals.
  
  What could be improved: The place was perfect but just a few tiny improvements that could enhance the experience.
  
  The furniture was a little tired.
  – Draw Unit from (Ikea) and the Sofa needed a steam clean as it was looking a little spoilt.
  Could have a side chair in the living area. (suggestion)
  
  Cracked door/window glass towards the patio area.
  Shower head in main bathroom (broken or faulty. The slide does not work. Just pointing it out. Was not an issue for us.
  
  Property could supply (milk and a few bottles of water) part of package as a minimum. (or Even a minimum of a mini Bar)
  or a complimentary local wine. (something from the region)
  
  Suggestions:
  Would consider keeping the laundry cupboard neater with no clutter. Any cupboard that stores cleaning equipment etc.
  I would keep it locked with a key. So no access to guests.
  The toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body cream) Could be supplied (maybe something local – product of the region rather than Zara.
  The TV could be a little larger.
  The emails also could come earlier with all the suggestions as we only received them the next day.
  Would be good on arrival.
  Again on suggestions.

  The location was absolutely superb as a base for seeing the city. It was super convenient to walk to all the main tourist attractions and a short walking distance to great bars and restaurants. There was an amazing pub with extensive range of Belgian beers just next door and a great cocktail bars a stone's throw away. The host was brilliant and sent regular recommendations on things to see and do too.
  
  What could be improved: Building work is taking place across the road to renovate a corner house that inevitably results in noise. However, this was mainly during the day when we were not in the apartment and outside the control of the owner. A bigger TV would be a bonus for longer stays with time for a film or two.
