Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Seville’s old town, and Eva Recommends Soho Alameda actually gets it right. The location on Calle Palacios Malaver is one of those narrow streets where you can practically touch the buildings on both sides – which sounds claustrophobic until you realize it means you’re genuinely in the thick of things. I mean, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral, but somehow the street stays relatively quiet at night. The building itself has that restored Sevillian feel without being too precious about it, you know? They’ve kept the original stone work and those gorgeous wooden shutters, but inside it’s properly modern.
What really won me over was how the staff – I think Eva might actually be involved, though I never met her – seemed to know exactly what you’d need before you asked. Check-in was smooth even though I arrived during that crazy afternoon heat when everyone’s cranky, and they had this little map marked up with spots that weren’t the obvious tourist traps. The rooms are honestly bigger than you’d expect for the old quarter, with decent air conditioning that actually works (trust me, this matters in July). The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel back-ache, and there’s enough space to properly unpack if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The bathrooms are well done – good water pressure, which can be hit or miss in these old buildings.
Here’s the thing though – and this is why I’d recommend it to friends – the hotel sits right in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything but you’re not dealing with the constant noise from Plaza Nueva or the main shopping streets. I could hear church bells in the morning, which sounds romantic until you realize they start pretty early, but honestly it became part of the charm. The neighborhood has a few local bars where you can grab a proper breakfast without paying tourist prices, and there’s a little grocery store around the corner that stays open late. Parking is tricky, like everywhere in the old town, but they can arrange something if you’re driving. The 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not luxury level, but it’s exactly what you want from a four-star place in this part of the city. Everything works, the location is spot-on, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere that cares about getting the details right rather than just checking boxes.

Great, quiet apartment. Locals as neighbors, close to everything yet not overrun with tourists. Hostess communicative and helpful, offered suggestions on local to-dos and eateries. Apartment is just a short walk to everything you need from restaurants to shopping and groceries. Wonderful washer/dryer on-site, too!

Comfortable apartment with all the required amenities, had a lovely stay. The host Eva is very helpful, friendly and makes sure everything is well. The area is lively with plenty to see and do with restaurants and bars nearby.

The apartment was great! Immaculate, fantastic location, and Eva was an excellent host, very informative and there whenever you needed her….! We came with our dogs and it was great. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Couldn’t fault it!

Eva is sympathetic after knowing my credit card was locked by bank because fraud charge had happened, let us check in without deposit. By second night, the door code failed to open the door, we called for help, and got immediate support. He tried every possible way remotely , still could not open the door. Another tech support finally made door open! We later guessed it was us, the speed to input the code was TOO slow (we must have been so tired after sightseeing activities and nightly flaminco).

Property was clean and modern . The host Eva was very responsive to any questions or concerns . The location was very close ( walking distance ) to all major attractions .

Great location within a 20 minute walk of everything. Very clean apartment and a pleasure to book and check in. Good value for money.
