You know what struck me first about Genteel Home Baños? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. It really does feel like staying at someone’s well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel – and I mean that in the best possible way. The building sits right on Calle Baños in Seville’s old town, which honestly couldn’t be a better location if you tried. You’re basically a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and the Alcázar, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the main drags.

The whole place has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. The rooms feel thoughtfully put together rather than cookie-cutter decorated, with these lovely high ceilings that keep things cool even when Seville turns into an oven (which, let’s be real, happens pretty regularly). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night – the old town can get pretty lively, especially around the tapas bars on nearby Calle Mateos Gago, but the hotel’s position on Baños means you get the charm without the 2 AM flamenco singers under your window. The staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood too, not just the tourist highlights. When I asked about good places for breakfast that weren’t tourist traps, they pointed me toward this tiny café three blocks away that I never would have found on my own.

Actually, that kind of sums up the whole experience – it’s the sort of place where small details matter and someone’s clearly thought things through. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, parking arrangements were sorted without drama (which, if you’ve driven in Seville’s old town, you know is no small feat), and the whole operation just runs smoothly without feeling corporate. The 8.7 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what you want from a four-star spot in this location. I’d definitely stay here again, particularly because you can walk to basically everything worth seeing but still come back to somewhere that feels like a proper retreat from all that Sevillian intensity.

  The two bedroom apartment was well set up for our two couple family group. Each couple had their own full bath. the kitchen was very well equipped with dishes, cups, pots and utensils. It was appropriately furnished and had plenty of power outlets. The wifi worked well.
  
  The location is great. It's located on a pedestrian street so we didn't hear any traffic noise. We walked to the attractions in the Seville area.
  
  It was easy for everyone to access the apartment with the keypad system. No need for keys or key-cards. The apartment is also close to a small supermarket supermarket and restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: The cooktop was weak. It took a long time to heat things up compared to my previous experience with cooktops like that.

  Great location, easy to reach main attractions by foot, near restaurants, supermarkets, great communication by Whatsup, clean and modern apartment, welcome coffee capsules and tea bags available, we recommend this place

  The location was interesting, it felt like being a part of the local community. The small street the apartment is located on has several very nice shops – a fine fish market, small fruit and vegetable shops, fresh meat if that’s your thing, barber shops, and a pleasant square with friendly restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Very poor Internet, you have to be in the main room and near to the router. Not good. The heating stopped working on day two and we were advised to shut down the electricity and reboot it. It worked, but not the kind of issue a visitor wants to deal with. But management was very available and helpful. All good.

  The location of the apartment is in a quiet area and there are many bars, restaurants and grocery stores around. If you want to visit the city, the location is relatively central, here are some attractions that you can access on foot: Royal Alcázar of Seville and Catedral de Sevilla (22 minutes), Metropol Parasol (10 minutes) and souvenir shops are very close. If you want to visit Cordoba, Cadiz you should know that Seville Santa Justa Train Station is 36 minutes away and if you use the airport shuttle you will arrive at the Estación de Autobuses "Plaza de Armas" which is a 13 minute walk to to the apartment. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and you even have a coffee machine. Communication with those who manage the location was very easy and prompt.Thank you!
