You know what really gets me about Genteel Home Conde de Ibarra III? It’s actually got character – I mean, real character, not the manufactured kind you find in most boutique hotels. Tucked right into the heart of Seville’s old town on Calle Conde de Ibarra, this place feels like you’re staying in someone’s incredibly well-appointed family home rather than just another hotel room. The 4-star rating honestly undersells it, and that 8.6 guest score makes total sense once you’re there.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to actually experience Seville instead of just seeing it. You can walk to the Cathedral in about eight minutes (I timed it), and the narrow cobblestone streets around the hotel are lined with these tiny tapas bars that locals actually frequent – not tourist traps. The building itself has that authentic Andalusian feel with the traditional patio and those gorgeous ceramic tiles, but here’s the thing: they’ve modernized it without killing the soul of the place. The rooms are spacious by European standards, and the air conditioning actually works (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July). What I really loved was how quiet it gets at night – even though you’re right in the thick of things, the thick walls and interior courtyard design mean you’re not hearing every late-night reveler stumbling home from the bars on Calle Betis.

The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about flamenco shows, they didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure – they recommended this tiny place about six blocks away where actual locals go, and it was incredible. Check-in was smooth, though parking is – well, it’s the old town, so you’re better off using the public garage a few streets over or just taking the train from the airport. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but it’s got proper jamón ibérico and fresh orange juice (this is Seville, after all), and you eat it in this beautiful courtyard that catches the morning light just right. I mean, there are fancier places in the city, sure, but this one gets the balance right between comfort, location, and that authentic feel that makes you remember why you wanted to visit Spain in the first place.

  Smart and comfortable apartment with everything you would need. Location was v convenient and the rooftop pool was perfect for the warm afternoons!

  Fantastic location in the heart of this stunning city. Everything we needed and wanted to see was within easy walking distance. Nice little patio and fabulous roof terrace. Very clean. Excellent dishwasher, washing machine and induction hob.
  
  What could be improved: Parking in the city is hard to find and quite costly. The bed is quite noisy!

  location was excellent and the staff were super helpful. I transferred from another Genteel property which was also excellent and I will definitely book with them again.

  The two-bedroom apartment was very comfortable it has everything you need.
  Make sure to coordinate your arrival time, because there is no place to wait for check in time.
  Anyhow, there were flexible and agreed to allow us to check-in earlier.

  Perfect location. The aparment was a little bit dark. We had to turn on the water boiler on the arrival.
  
  What could be improved: The owner asked us many times about the time of the arrival but when we got there we had to wait for the person to be given the key.
