You know what caught me off guard about Genteel Home Don Remondo? The name sounds almost comically formal, but the moment you step inside this converted mansion on Calle Don Remondo, you realize it actually fits perfectly. This isn’t your typical Sevillian hotel – it’s tucked away in the heart of the old town where the tourist crowds thin out just enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something locals might actually approve of.

The building itself has that worn elegance that only comes from centuries of use, and I mean that in the best way possible. The original tiles and ironwork are still there, but someone clearly spent real money updating the important stuff – the plumbing actually works (trust me, not always a given in historic Seville), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a tractor starting up. What really sold me, though, was how quiet it gets at night. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and maybe eight minutes to the Alcázar, but once you’re inside, the stone walls do their job. The street itself is narrow enough that delivery trucks can’t really get through, so you don’t get that early morning rumbling that ruins your sleep in other parts of the old quarter.

Honestly, the staff here seem to know their neighborhood – and I don’t just mean they can point you toward the major sights. When I asked about dinner reservations, the guy at reception steered me away from the obvious tourist traps near the Cathedral toward this tiny place three blocks over where locals actually eat. That’s the kind of insight you can’t fake. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – nothing revolutionary, but thoughtfully done with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase and some decent natural light during the day. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you factor in the location advantage. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough from the main drags that you’re not paying premium prices for every meal or coffee. Plus – and this matters if you’re visiting in summer – the narrow streets here actually provide some shade during those brutal afternoon hours when other parts of the city become basically uninhabitable. If you’re the type who likes to duck back to your room for a siesta before evening tapas, the location works perfectly for that rhythm.

  The location and the house was nicely decorated. Very comfort flat , it has whatever you need.
  
  What could be improved: The hot water system not very good. The hot water could not run for more than one shower.
  We had to wait all the time before the tank was heating the water to being use it.

  The flat is in a fantastic location. Very close to bars, restaurants, the cathedral, and other activities.
  
  The flat was well kitted out with everything you could need to make your own meals. To be able to drink the tap water is also a really good touch.
  
  Shower facilities were excellent, perfect after a hot day in the sun – especially paired with the air conditioning.

  Great location near main points of interest, apartment exactly like in the picture, well equipped kitchen, quiet during the night, comfy bed, big shower. It also had a washing machine with detergent provided and drying rack in case you need it. We greatly appreciated that we were able to check in earlier than the indicated hour.
  
  What could be improved: For us it was not a problem, but please note that you don't have a view over the city. All windows look inside the inner "courtyard".

  it's a freshly renewed apartment.
  there are no balcony but the location is simply the best, in the real center but it is not noisy or chaotic
  
  What could be improved: I miss the balcony and a window in the bathroom, but for short staying is more than perfect. We got only 4 Nespresso capsules for 2 people for 4 days(I preferred to have one per person per day and add 5€ to the room)

  What could be improved: Building has a very bad small. Illumination on the Building is awful. You have to step down the stairs in complete darkness.

  What could be improved: The apartment was very humid and the bathroom didn't even have a window. The building smelled terrible all the time. The price was a bit high for what it offers.

  Ubicación excelente, el apartamento está dotado con todas las comodidades, es muy acogedor y silencioso. La cama muy amplia y súper cómoda.
