Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and Genteel Home Giralda caught me off guard in the best way possible. When I first heard “different locations,” I honestly thought it might be some scattered mess of random apartments, but it’s actually pretty brilliant – they’ve got these carefully chosen spots throughout the old town, each one feeling like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family home rather than just another hotel room.

The thing about staying here is that you’re not just near the action, you’re woven right into it. I mean, depending on which location you get, you might be a two-minute walk from the cathedral (and trust me, hearing those bells in the morning is either magical or mildly annoying depending on how late you stayed out on Calle Betis the night before). The buildings themselves have that authentic Sevillian feel – you know, the kind with thick walls that actually keep the summer heat out and those gorgeous tile details that make you want to photograph everything. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even when you’re right in the heart of things. These old buildings just seem to absorb sound in a way that modern hotels never manage.

The staff actually knows the neighborhood – not just the tourist spots everyone hits, but where to grab the best montaditos at 2 PM when everywhere else is closed, or which tiny plaza has the most reasonable parking (because let’s be real, driving in Seville’s old town is basically a contact sport). I stayed there during Semana Santa one year, which was honestly incredible but also completely chaotic, and they helped me figure out which procession routes to avoid when I needed to get back with groceries. It’s that kind of local insight that makes the 8.7 rating make perfect sense – the place just works in ways that aren’t immediately obvious until you’re living in it for a few days. The rooms themselves feel substantial, if that makes sense, with proper furniture instead of that flimsy hotel stuff, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re showering in a airplane lavatory. Sure, you might not get a pool or a fancy lobby bar, but honestly, when you’re steps away from some of the best tapas bars in Andalusia, who cares about hotel amenities?

  Apartment had everything I needed plus an unbeatable location. Staff was very responsive and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Due to no fault of the property, the tapas bar downstairs is currently being remodelled and started work a bit early in the morning.

  Location was perfect and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Surrounded by a ton of restaurantes, shops and the main monuments. Right next to the cathedral and Royal Alcázar, very easy to walk everwhere in the city.
  
  What could be improved: Parking recommendation: they suggest only one option which was an expensive one when there was less expensive options and closer.
  
  Check-in process was slightly stressful, a lot of messages asking my time of arrival, felt pressure to get there as soon as possible.

  Ac was amazing in 106 heat! Very clean apartment with an amazing location.
  
  What could be improved: Our GPS hated this area, but it was easy enough to learn the area in a short amount of time. Public parking garage was farther away than expected.

  Easy to communicate with owner (superviser) of this property. Very nice and helpful lady. Very good location. All attractions are within walking distance. many restaurants with good and inexpensive food.
  Big balcony with chairs.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment on the 4th floor. a small elevator takes you only to the 3rd, then walk along the marble stairs. A little strange smell in the apartment and mold stains in the bathroom.
  We also don't like mattresses – very soft.

  The flat is very spacious and the location is perfect. The terrace is a lovely bonus for sitting out at breakfast or a late night drink.
  The flat is super comfortable and well equipped for a stay. Can’t recommend it too highly.
  
  What could be improved: The lack of sockets in the flat. It is not possible to make an espresso and boil the kettle/make toast at the same time.

  The property was stunning and so clean. The property had everything you would need, including a few lovely touches such as coffee pods for the machines. The location was very central with the cathedral only steps away. The property was situation in a courtyard meaning that it was so peaceful and the hustle and bustle was quickly forgotten about.

  The location couldn’t be any better, so central and easy to access. Spacious for 2 people with excellent facilities.
