You know what struck me first about Genteel Home Goyeneta? The name actually makes sense once you’re standing in that beautifully restored entrance – there’s something genuinely refined about this place without being stuffy. I mean, we’re talking about a spot right on Calle Goyeneta in the heart of Sevilla’s old town, and honestly, the location alone had me sold before I even saw the rooms.

Here’s the thing about staying in the old quarter – you’re basically living inside a postcard, but that usually comes with trade-offs like paper-thin walls or zero parking. This place somehow sidesteps most of those issues. The building itself has that classic Andalusian charm (you’ll see those gorgeous ceramic tiles everywhere), but they’ve clearly put thought into the practical stuff too. I was expecting the usual old-town noise situation, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet – probably helps that Goyeneta isn’t one of the main tourist drags like some streets closer to the cathedral. You’re still a five-minute walk from all the big sights, but you actually get to sleep at night.

What really won me over was how they’ve balanced the historic character with modern comfort. The rooms feel spacious by European standards, and the bathrooms – well, let’s just say someone understood that travelers want decent water pressure and counter space for all their stuff. The breakfast situation is solid too, though I’d honestly recommend stepping out to try some of the local cafés nearby. There’s this little place around the corner that does incredible tostada con tomate that locals line up for (you’ll know it when you see the queue of Spanish grandmothers at 9 AM).

The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find the best tapas that aren’t overpriced tourist traps, or which flamenco shows are worth your time versus the cheesy dinner theater stuff. That 9.4 rating isn’t just about thread count and marble countertops; it’s because someone’s paying attention to the details that actually matter when you’re trying to experience a city properly. Sure, you’re paying a bit more than you would for some generic hotel on the outskirts, but when you can stumble back from the bars in Santa Cruz or catch the evening light on the Giralda just by walking out your front door – I mean, that’s kind of the whole point of being in Sevilla, isn’t it?

  Nice, big apartment. Very good location, quiet street but just in the centre. Well Equipped kitchen. Very nice lady who welcomed us at the check in.

  Great location and apartment was really clean. Contact with the host was excellent. Considering the central location it was pretty quiet at night. Ideal for a weekend visit.

  The property was very nice, modern and quiet. They have only quality stuff inside, everything clean and cosy. The location was perfect, in the heart of Sevilla old town.

  The apartment is well decorated and facilitated. Perfect size for 7 of us with 2 kids.
  The location is amazing, 2 mins walking to the Mushroom and most of the tourists interests are within walking distance too. There are loads of bars, shops and Flamenco shows in the neighbourhood, never had a problem finding place to eat and drink in the early morning or late night. Highly recommended.

  The apartment was so well located right in the centre of the old town of Seville. We were able to check in early on our day of arrival as the management company were easily contactable by Whatsapp. Half way through our stay our towels and bed linen were changed. The apartment itself was excellent and was even better than the pictures on the site.
  There were 7 of us staying so to have 3 double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room was perfect for us.
  Everything you could possibly need was in the apartment so it felt like a home away from home.
  I would highly recommend this apartment for any family coming to stay in Seville.
