Okay, so Genteel Home Plaza Nueva isn’t your typical hotel situation – it’s actually more like having a really well-connected friend who owns several gorgeous apartments scattered around Seville’s old town and lets you crash in them. I mean, when they say “different locations,” they really mean it, but honestly? That’s kind of the charm.

You’ll end up staying in one of these beautifully restored buildings tucked into the maze of streets around Plaza Nueva, and each one feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s stylish Sevillian home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The spaces have this lived-in elegance – think exposed beams, tile floors that stay cool even when it’s blazing outside, and furniture that actually looks like someone chose it with care instead of ordering it from a hotel catalog. What I love is how they’ve managed to keep the old-world character while sneaking in modern touches where they matter. The air conditioning works (crucial in summer, trust me), the WiFi doesn’t make you want to throw your laptop out the window, and the kitchenettes in most units mean you can grab some jamón and cheese from the market and have breakfast like a local.

The location thing is where this place really shines, though you do need to be okay with a little adventure. Depending on which apartment you get, you might be a two-minute walk from the Cathedral or closer to the Alcázar, but either way, you’re right in the thick of things. Fair warning – the streets here are narrow and cobbled, so if you’re planning to drive, well… good luck with that. Most guests end up parking outside the old town and walking in, which honestly isn’t a bad thing since you’ll discover all these tiny plazas and hidden tapas bars along the way. The buildings can be a bit tricky to find at first (GPS gets confused in these winding alleys), but the check-in process is pretty smooth once you connect with their team.

You know what really sets this place apart? It’s how quiet things get at night, even though you’re surrounded by restaurants and bars. The thick walls of these old buildings are amazing sound barriers, and by midnight, even the liveliest streets settle into this peaceful hum. Spring and fall are obviously the sweet spots for staying here – you can throw open those traditional wooden shutters and let the evening breeze flow through, maybe catch the sound of someone practicing guitar a few streets over. Summer gets intense (like, really intense), but the apartments stay surprisingly cool, and you’re never more than a few minutes from a plaza with shade and cold beer. Sure, it’s not going to have a fancy lobby or room service, but if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Seville for a few days instead of just visiting it, this is your spot.

  It was overall an amazing stay!
  It was fully equipped and located very well, everything was walking distance which made our trip very seamless.

  Pleasant, clean apartment. Good washing machine and kettle. Handy location for=exploring and parking.
  
  What could be improved: The guy who showed us things in the apartment mentioned a Smart TV – there was a remote control but no box. A technician came and changed the batteries on the remote but there was still no box or connection. He said he would come the next day. When he did;t, I contacted the host and received the message that there was no smart TV – the maid had put the remote there my mistake…. We like to watch documentaries about the places we are visiting. We can do it on the phone but it's much nicer to watch on a TV screen.

  Great, central location, perfect for exploring the city. The apartment was clean and well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: It was a little noisy, from street cleaners, construction & emptying the rubbish but this is just due to being in an inner-city location.

  It was convenient to have a washer in the apartment to wash our clothes. It is a large apartment with 2 bathrooms which is nice. The location to the city center is perfect. The neighbors are quiet so you will sleep well.
  
  What could be improved: The door lock can be tricky to open for Americans who are not used to European locks. Make sure you ask the host to show you how to use the keys on both the apartment door and the main door to the building. The main building door had a very sticky lock which was troublesome.
