Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Seville’s old quarter, and honestly? Genteel Home San Pablo gets it right in ways that most hotels completely miss. The moment you walk through that door on Calle San Pablo – and I mean, you’re literally steps from the cathedral here – you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need, not just what looks good in photos.

The thing about this street is it’s perfectly positioned. You know how some “old town” hotels stick you down some random alley where you’re dragging your suitcase over cobblestones for ten minutes? Not here. You’re right in the thick of things but on a street that actually makes sense. I could walk to pretty much everything – the Alcázar is maybe three minutes away, and when you want dinner, well, you’ve got options literally around every corner. What I really appreciated, though, was coming back in the evenings. The street doesn’t turn into a party zone like some areas closer to the river, so you can actually sleep without earplugs.

The rooms themselves feel like someone’s elegant Sevillian home, which I guess is sort of the point given the name. It’s that perfect balance where you feel the history of the building – those thick walls keep things cool even in summer heat – but everything works properly. The air conditioning actually cools the room (trust me, this matters in July), the wifi doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, and the bathroom has proper water pressure. Small things, but when you’re dealing with the afternoon heat and want a decent shower, these details matter. I stayed during Semana Santa one year, and while the city was absolutely packed, the hotel felt like a calm refuge. The staff – and this is key – they know the neighborhood. Not just the tourist stuff, but where to grab coffee at 7 AM, which tapas bars locals actually go to, even which pharmacy stays open late. That’s the kind of knowledge you can’t fake, and it makes all the difference when you’re trying to live like a person rather than just tick boxes off a sightseeing list.

  This property is in a great area in Old Town with most of the Great Sights within walking distance as well as Great Restaurants,the property is modern and well maintained it has everything you need for a great stay open living areas and a great varendah to enjoy a glass of wine on at the end of the day, the staff were friendly and very helpful overall a great property that I would stay in again.

  It is in a great location, right in the city center.
  The kitchen contains everything you might need. The apartment is very large, each bedroom has it’s own bathroom with shower.

  Excellent communication from hosts. Ideal location, right in the centre yet not too noisy. Very spacious and comfortable apartment with pretty much everything we needed.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was chilly (our visit coincided with a rainy and cold few days) but we were able to increase heat via a/c, which was ok. The bedrooms were very light (from various appliances) even with shutters down.

  Great location, all attractions are within walking distance (5-10min). Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is very nice, spacious, perfect for 4 people. Very well equipped. The communication was great, we would 100% recommend and would stay again if we return to Seville

  The property is in the perfect location for walking to local restaurants, setas de Sevilla, shopping, coffee shops etc. it’s very spacious and the decor is really nice and modern.
  
  It was very clean and smelt lovely when we arrived. We were able to come in and drop our luggage early at around 1pm and then the cleaner had just finished so we actually were able to then stay, even though check in was 3pm.
  
  This property is run by a company that own lots of others around the city and they are fantastic. They were great for communicating before and during our stay. They sent me lists of recommendations for restaurants, things to do, rooftop bars etc.
  
  All amenities you need were included, a proper iron and ironing board, and a good hairdryer not just a small one.
  
  What could be improved: The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable and not great for two to sleep on.

  Super apartment. Very well appointed. There was nothing I looked for that the apartment did not have. Including an excellent cleaning service, incorporated into the booking price. I stayed for 3 weeks and would happily book again. The Genteel team were so responsive to any query I had, and a great resource for finding/booking fun things to do on evenings/weekends. Extremely central location. Would book again in a heartbeat.

  The location was great and made the entire city walkable. It had great amenities and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting to Sevilla.

  Great location and we felt safe in the area. Easy to walk to many shops, restaurants and sites. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped for our stay. There is a clothes washer in the kitchen and laundry detergent/pods in one of the cabinets. There isn't a dryer but there is an outdoor patio area to hang clothes to dry. A lovely person from the office met us upon arrival and took us to the apartment and showed us what we needed. Getting to the apartment requires taking a couple of small elevators and going through a couple of entrances so it was good that someone was there to show us the way the first time.
  
  What could be improved: The half shower door, which seems to be a standard design in many hotels and apartments in Spain and other parts of Europe, was tricky for us to get used to and water splashed everywhere. So, I would recommend having more towels or floor mats available to soak up the water for those of us who don't know how to keep the water from splashing out of these half shower doors.
