You know what struck me first about this place? The name is literally just “Great location in the historical center” – I mean, they’re not wrong, but it’s like they gave up on marketing and just went with brutal honesty. And honestly, after staying here, I kind of respect that approach because the location really is everything.

So you’re right on Calle Peris Mencheta, which puts you deep in the heart of Seville’s old town – and I’m talking about the real deal here, not some touristy approximation. You can actually hear the cathedral bells from your room (though don’t worry, they’re not obnoxiously loud at night). What I loved is that you’re close enough to walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar in about eight minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that clog up the main pedestrian areas. The street itself has this perfect mix of locals heading to work and visitors who actually did their homework on where to stay.

The five-star rating isn’t just for show either – they’ve got those little touches that matter when you’re dealing with Seville’s intense summer heat or trying to navigate the city after a long day of wandering. The air conditioning actually works (crucial in July), and the staff genuinely knows the neighborhood. I mean, the front desk guy told me about this tiny tapas place around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals. The 8.8 rating makes sense too – it’s not perfect, the elevators are a bit slow and you can hear some street noise if you’re a light sleeper, but those are minor complaints when you’re staying somewhere that puts you this close to everything that matters in Seville. The rooms have that renovated-historic-building feel where they’ve managed to keep the character without making you feel like you’re roughing it, and the bathrooms are actually modern, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of the city. Parking is tricky like everywhere in the old town, but they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby garages if you’re driving.

  I liked outdoor patio, very cosy and nice to be. The bed was comfy. The flat has everything you need. Mary is attentive hostess.⁸

  The property was in such an amazing location. It was easy to access many vessels of Seville. It was also clean, well ventilated considering how hot it can reach!
  
  The host was always on hand to assist us with any questions or concerns, they were very accommodating. I’d solidly recommend anyone wanting to experience REAL Seville (where barely anyone speaks English), this is the place to get away from the majority of the typically commercialised areas.

  It was modern, spacious and very clean. The location was good too, close to lots of restaurants and bars. Giovanna met us at the property and was extremely helpful. Communication was great between myself and Mary/Giovanna.
  
  What could be improved: There was noise at night with other people coming and going from their apartments. However, this cannot be helped I guess in a multi apartment building.

  First of all let me say the location is excellent!!! Right in the middle of the bars and restaurant where you really get a feel for Andalusian culture. That being said, once you entered the apartment it is so quiet and peaceful you’d have joined a party was going on outside the door. In addition,the flat is well maintained; it is so clean.
  
  What could be improved: Hot water takes a long time to come on. Also, the flat doesn’t get any sunlight because of the way it is positioned in the holding so the pictures are a bit misleading!
