Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about the Guardamino Dúplex Suite? I was expecting another cramped Old Town rental, but this place actually has room to breathe. The duplex layout means you’re not tripping over your suitcase every time you turn around – there’s a proper living area downstairs and the bedroom upstairs feels like an actual retreat, not an afterthought. The location on Calle Guardamino is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of Seville’s historic center without dealing with the tourist chaos on streets like Sierpes. You can walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, but when you come home at night, it’s surprisingly quiet for being so central.
The apartment itself has that restored Sevillian character – think exposed beams and traditional tiles – but someone clearly put thought into making it work for modern travelers. The kitchen is small but functional (I mean, you’re in Seville, you’ll probably eat out most nights anyway), and the air conditioning actually works, which is no small thing during those brutal July afternoons. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details: good water pressure, reliable WiFi, and windows that actually block out the morning light if you’ve had a late night in Triana. The building itself is typical Old Town – narrow entrance, traditional courtyard – so don’t expect to pull up with a huge rental car. Actually, forget the car entirely; everything worth seeing is walkable from here, and parking in this neighborhood is basically impossible anyway.
Here’s the thing about staying right in the Old Town – you’re literally surrounded by everything that makes Seville special. Step out the front door and you’re two minutes from Plaza del Salvador, where locals actually hang out (not just tourists taking photos). The narrow streets around Guardamino are lined with proper tapas bars – I’m talking about places where the jamón ibérico is carved by hand and the locals argue about football over their morning coffee. You’ll hear the cathedral bells throughout the day, which sounds romantic until you realize they chime every fifteen minutes, but honestly, you get used to it and it becomes part of the charm. The apartment sits right in that sweet spot where you can stumble home from a late dinner in Santa Cruz or catch the sunrise from the rooftop bars near the river, but still get a decent night’s sleep. For a 4-star place with solid ratings, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for – comfort, character, and a location that lets you live like a Sevillano for a few days instead of just checking boxes on a tourist itinerary.

Location is amazing! Right in the middle of multiple squares with bars and restaurants and shops. We loved the location and even though it was very bustling and noisy well into the evening, it did not really bother our sleep much as it’s pretty sound proof. The communication with the staff went well. The decor and furniture in the apartment was lovely. Having a bathroom on the main floor in addition to the full bathroom on the second floor was very nice. Apartment came with full kitchen although we did not use it.
What could be improved: It took a couple days to get the AC working well enough to actually cool the apartment down (we also arrived and it was 42 degrees so I think exceptionally hot for beginning of June?). The apartment stairs are very steep both entering the apartment and inside as others have mentioned but it didn’t bother us too much. The smell in the bathroom isn’t ideal, it was a mix of sewage smell and perfume and neither were good, the bathroom was the least appealing part. Also only got left 2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 people for 5 days – however the communication was easy and they did bring some over eventually.Andrzej from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (9/10)
Property is really good and in an excellent location in Sevilla. Its close to a lot of amenities and really nice restaurants and bars. Balcony is really good to chill in the sun as well.
The best bit about it I would say is the location as its in a really good area and most things were at most a 10/15 mins walk.
We were also pleasantly surprised that we would have someone from the team contact us prior to our trip. Dani from the team was super helpful and provided us with a list of personally recommended bars and restaurants, as well as local things to do. The service was excellent and really made the trip that much better.
The only downside was that the stairs going into the flat and in the flat itself are a bit steep, so just need to be careful!
Thank you for the stay and experienceJulie from United Kingdom – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
Lovely accommodation, private, modern, very quiet and central. The only problem was the steps which were very steep but they did have hands rail to assist.

AMAZING property in Sevilla! Wonderful location, great for walking to food and sites. Bed was super comfy and the terrace was so lovely.
What could be improved: Stairs are quite steep in the unit. The bathroom upstairs is quite smelly, like a sewer/well smell, but this seems typical of older buildings in Sevilla and we smelled it at other restaurant bathrooms too. Street noise is loud due to cafes and bars right outside, we heard chatter til 3-4am most nights but we were able to sleep through it. A light sleeper might struggle. A final comment is that the door code to enter the building is very finicky— we messed up too many times and got locked out. Called the owners and they were friendly and helped us immediately (and only spoke Spanish…no English), but keep in mind that you’ll need international phone service if you want help b/c there is no front desk or person on-site to help you.Caroline from Ireland – 10 November 2023 (8/10)
Terrace was sunny part of the day, comfortable bed, nice sitting room. Great location near shops and bars.
What could be improved: Smells were coming up to the bathroom shower.Robert from Netherlands – 9 June 2023 (9/10)

Great location. The hosts were really nice and we had basic things in the kitchen for cooking (also tea and coffee) and enough toiletries in the bathrooms. The house smelled very well when we arrived and was warm with the air conditioning.
What could be improved: The stairs were very narrow, you get used to it but it can be a bit tough to climb. From time to time smell came from the bathroom but it was happening in the whole building so I can't really say it was the apartment's fault, probably just some issues with the sewer system (It wasn't that bad either and would go away after a bit).John from United Kingdom – 16 December 2024 (7/10)
The location is very good. In the old town with easy walking access to all the pedestrian areas (East & West). Good restaurants & cafe's nearby. Late night bars close by – but not too noisy – at least not on evenings in mid December. Apartment is well equipped and the bed comfortable. Didn't use the balcony as the weather wasn't that good, but the balcony is a plus in warmer times. Also the host was very quick to respond when we had a problem getting in on the first day. Very happy with that.
What could be improved: If you have limited mobility, or a lot of heavy luggage – think twice as the stairs up to the apartment are steep (2ndfloor) and it's a duplex with narrow stairs up to the bedroom. I think it's a bit naughty that this isn't made clear in the description. Not a big problem for us, but we are fairly fit 70 year olds. Also, as in many old properties, the drains can be a bit smelly – not an issue in the apartment, but the common area was a bit bad. Lastly, although street noise wasn't a problem, there can be noise from adjacent properties. We were awoken at 6.00am by a happy Spanish family who had lots to tell each other – all settled down after 30 minutes, but it did wake us up. But – this is a very nice apartment in a great part of town.
