Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of boutique hotels in Seville, and honestly? Halo gets it right in ways that surprised me. You walk into this place on Calle Gloria – which, by the way, is this narrow little street that most tourists miss even though it’s literally steps from the cathedral – and there’s immediately something different about it. The lobby has this sort of minimalist-meets-Andalusian thing going on that actually works, not like some places where they just throw tiles everywhere and call it authentic.

What really sold me was how they’ve managed to capture that old Seville charm without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The rooms have these gorgeous original details – I mean, we’re talking exposed beams and traditional tilework – but they’ve paired it with modern touches that actually make sense. The bathroom in my room had this amazing rainfall shower that I definitely didn’t expect from a 4-star place, and the air conditioning (crucial if you’re visiting in summer, trust me) was whisper quiet. You know what’s rare? Hotel beds that are actually comfortable, and theirs delivered. I’m usually tossing and turning the first night anywhere new, but I slept like a baby.

Being right in the old town means you’re walking distance to everything that matters – the Alcázar is maybe a 5-minute stroll, and you can practically hear the cathedral bells from your window. But here’s the thing locals know: this particular street is just off the main tourist drag, so you get the convenience without the constant stream of tour groups marching past at all hours. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood well too – they steered me toward this incredible little tapas bar on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise. Parking can be a nightmare in this part of town (I learned that the hard way), but they actually have arrangements with a nearby garage, which honestly saved my trip. The whole experience felt… effortless, I guess? Like they’ve thought through all the little things that can make or break a stay. It’s not perfect – the elevator is tiny and slow, very typical for these converted old buildings – but that 8.3 rating feels about right. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real Seville, not some sanitized version of it.

  • Graham from United Kingdom – 12 June 2025 (9/10)

Exceptionally friendly, great location and wonderful room.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • David from United Kingdom – 17 February 2025 (8/10)

    Central Location

What could be improved: Taxi unable to drop you off adjacent to hotel

  • Robert from United Kingdom – 13 February 2025 (9/10)

Accommodation was excellent, the room was a very good size, the bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. Our room also had a private roof terrace, which whilst it didn't have the most outstanding views, was very unexpected and welcome.

What could be improved: Breakfast wasn't particularly to my liking, very continental, but then i suppose that's to be expected, and my partner loved it. Coffee came from an automated machine and was acceptable, but it could have been so much nicer if it had been hand made.

  • Claire from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (7/10)

The hotel is in an ideal location and the rooms were beautiful.

What could be improved: The breakfast was disappointing-not much in the way of hot food and limited fresh fruit. It was expensive for what it was.
I would have expected coffee in the room and a hairdryer in a 4 star hotel.

  • Ricardo from Netherlands – 4 January 2025 (8/10)

    Welcoming and supportive staff

  • Swede from Sweden – 30 December 2024 (9/10)

Nice, luxorious hotel in the heart of Sevilla. Calm and cozy area. Friendly and helpful staff, Really nice breakfast.

  • Lucinda from Australia – 5 November 2024 (7/10)

Cozy hotel saving us from the hot weather outside with much needed air con.

What could be improved: It was all pretty good except the pool and bar could have been open later with the late sunsets during spanish summer.

  • Julia from United Kingdom – 25 October 2024 (9/10)

We arrived very early and was able to store our luggage easily, meaning that we could get straight out and start exploring.
Our room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious & the location was perfect, with everything within walking distance.

  • Hilary from United Kingdom – 13 September 2024 (7/10)

Great location. Nice size room and bathroom. Good to have the pool for a cool off after a day walking about.

What could be improved: Very noisy outside at night. Lots of noise till almost morning. Shame that the pool doesn’t have more sun beds – 3 is not enough. The tables and chairs don’t seem to be used so would be much better as a sun lounger area.
    Breakfast wasn’t great.

  • Paul from United Kingdom – 8 September 2024 (9/10)

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is ideally positioned for the old town. Lovely breakfasts.
