Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Hesperia Sevilla? It’s actually got this understated elegance that sneaks up on you. I mean, when you first walk up on Avenida Eduardo Dato, it looks like your standard business hotel – nothing flashy, just clean lines and glass. But once you’re inside, there’s something really comfortable about the whole vibe. The lobby has this warm lighting that makes you want to linger with a coffee, and honestly, after walking around Seville’s cobblestones all day, that matters more than you’d think.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Seville at all. You’re in Nervión, which locals will tell you is where actual Sevillanos live and work – not touristy, but not boring either. There’s a Metro stop literally two minutes away (I timed it), and you can be in the heart of the old city in about fifteen minutes. But here’s the thing I really appreciated: you can walk to decent restaurants without fighting through crowds of tour groups. There’s this little tapas place called Bar Eslava just a few streets over that serves jamón ibérico that’ll ruin you for the ham back home. The hotel staff actually recommended it when I asked where they eat lunch – always a good sign.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – comfortable beds, decent-sized bathrooms, and windows that actually open (surprisingly rare these days). I stayed on the sixth floor and could see toward the Guadalquivir on clear mornings. The air conditioning works well, which in Seville summers is basically a human right. One small thing that impressed me: the Wi-Fi is genuinely fast throughout the building. I know that sounds mundane, but try uploading photos from the Alcázar on hotel internet and you’ll understand why I’m mentioning it. The breakfast spread is generous without being overwhelming – proper Spanish tortilla, fresh fruit, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday.

What really sold me on this place was how it handles the little stuff. Check-in was smooth even when I arrived early, they store luggage without making it feel like a huge favor, and the front desk folks seem to actually know the city beyond the major monuments. When I mentioned wanting to see some flamenco, they steered me away from the tourist traps toward a peña where locals actually go. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you hope for but rarely get. The whole place just feels… competent, I guess? Like they’ve figured out how to run a hotel without making it feel corporate or soulless. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it’s the kind of spot where everything works the way it should, and in a city as magical as Seville, that lets you focus on what you came for.

Lovely new clean hotel, well designed and beautifully decorated, with a great balance of indoor, outdoor space .
Staff very friendly and helpful, specifically the bar staff, service was exceptional.
The restaurant is authentic, with fantastic food, and a great atmosphere.

  • Jeff from United States – 9 June 2025 (9/10)

What a bright, festive, modern, and clean hotel with a personality. Outstanding A/C (very important for Seville) comfy beds, cozy bar and lobby, and while its not in the main tourist area (15-20 min walk), the neighborhood (Nervion) is a bustling suburban, safe area and makes a perfect base with easy transportation, stores, cafes, and restaurants (Catalina next door great for any meal). Many choices on room types. Would stay there again for sure, enjoyed being out of the center of the city a bit yet its very accessible.

What could be improved: We didn't do the buffet but the couple we traveled with felt it was subpar and expensive. The other reviews validate that.

  • Kristina from Montenegro – 3 June 2025 (9/10)

Beautifully designed hotel, with comfortable and large rooms with big bathrooms and lots of closet space, comfortable beds,, very good breakfast

What could be improved: Nothing worth mentioning

  • Emma from Gibraltar – 2 June 2025 (9/10)

    Fantastic location

  • Geraldine from Ireland – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

Lovely Hotel, stayed with my daughter, great location , easy access to everything, shops, bars restaurants nearby

  • Ana from Croatia – 30 May 2025 (9/10)

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel—everything was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. But what truly stood out the most was the hotel staff. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile.

What could be improved: The only small downsides were that the air conditioning blows directly toward the bed, which was a bit uncomfortable while sleeping, and the sound isolation could be improved—I could hear noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway. Still, these were minor issues in an otherwise wonderful stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

  • Mellany from Qatar – 29 May 2025 (9/10)

The location — this is very close to the metro station, 20 meters away which made it easy to explore Sevilla. There are so many nice restaurants nearby. There is El Corte Ingles not very far and a shopping complex with the Spanish Brands like Mango and Zara. There are several Carrefour nearby.

The room was spacious, nicely decorated. Good water pressure in the shower.

The staff were helpful and friendly.

What could be improved: Seems to be a trend in the hotels in Spain-no water cooker to make tea and coffee. As a tea drinker it was a bit of a letdown to not have a basic kettle in the room.

  • Emöke from Hungary – 27 May 2025 (9/10)

I liked the Andalusian flair about the whole property.

What could be improved: I found the breakfast really good except the fact that with lots of people it could be sometimes hard/tough to select and have a great start of the day…
