You know what really struck me about Híspalis Catedral? The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how travelers move through a space. I mean, it’s tucked right into Calle Francos in the heart of Seville’s old town, which honestly can feel like a maze when you first arrive – but once you’re settled here, that same maze becomes your playground.

The location is pretty ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the cathedral (hence the name, obviously), and I actually found myself popping back to the hotel multiple times during the day because it was so easy. The narrow streets around here buzz with that authentic Seville energy – you’ll hear the clip-clop of horse carriages heading to the cathedral, the chatter from the tapas bars that locals actually frequent, and honestly, the whole area smells like orange blossoms if you catch it at the right time of year. The hotel itself has this boutique feel without being pretentious about it. They’ve clearly put effort into the details – the lobby has these gorgeous tiles that feel very Andalusian but not in a theme-park way, and the staff actually knows the neighborhood. Like, they’ll tell you which flamenco shows are tourist traps and which ones are worth your time, or where to grab the best montaditos without walking into a place that charges double because it’s near the cathedral.

The rooms are solid for a four-star – nothing revolutionary, but comfortable beds and decent bathrooms, which honestly matters more than fancy amenities when you’re out exploring all day. I will say the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs. This is old town Seville, after all, and things can get lively, especially on weekends. But that’s part of the charm, isn’t it? You’re staying in a neighborhood where people actually live and work, not some sanitized hotel district. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters. The Wi-Fi works, the air conditioning keeps up with Seville’s intense summers, and the whole place feels clean and well-maintained. Plus, and this is huge if you’re planning to do any serious sightseeing, you can walk to basically everything worth seeing in the historic center. The Alcázar is maybe eight minutes on foot, the riverside is a pleasant stroll, and you’re surrounded by those impossibly narrow streets lined with shops that sell everything from hand-painted ceramics to ridiculously good jamón.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to feel like you’re actually in Seville rather than just visiting it. It’s the kind of place where you’ll end up having a favorite café around the corner within two days.

  Amazing location, 5 minutes walking to Seville Cathedral. The apartment is located on one of the narrow streets of seville, in an old but renovated building. It's very clean, quiet and you have everything you need.
  
  What could be improved: There was a stale, musty smell in the house when we arrived, but we kept the windows open, and the second night it wasn't that bad.

  the apartment was perfect for a family with one child. We really liked it because it was in the center of Sevilla and you can arrive almost at any cultural objective in 6-20min. You have all kind of restaurants and bars near you, also shops and a supermarket. The apartment was clean, comfy and with full utilities. If we’ll ever return to Sevilla we will search again for this apartment!

  Great location, quiet place,comfortable bed, good equipment.
  
  What could be improved: Horrible mold smell in the kitchen, couldn't use the washing mashine inside full of mold,broken heating,window was broken,but fixed after complaint, why not to check everything before guest arrives?there was a leak inside in the wardrobe my clothes got wet.

  What could be improved: Drain flies were in every room in Apartment, sewerage system needs addressing. Mould in kitchen and other rooms. Therefore had to eat out, rather than cooking in Apartment . Kitchen hazards very dangerous kettle, handle gets to hot to hold, extractor and kitchen cupboard placed to low, hit my head on them. No hot water to bathroom sink, shower door will eventually shatter as hits metal towel shelf? Not a comfortable happy stayed, ruined our time in Sevilla.

  La posizione è ottima e l' appartamento è super silenzioso perché affaccia su una corte interna. Letto comodissimo, bagno spazioso con una grande doccia e cucina vivibile, adatta per preparare la colazione e preparare qualche pasto semplice.
  
  What could be improved: Nonostante fosse stato messo a disposizione un deumidificatore, l'appartamento è umido. Le due uniche finestre danno su una corte interna e non c' è ricircolo d'aria. Il prezzo è un po' alto per quanto è offerto ma si paga la posizione.

  Alloggio fornito di tutti i comfort e in una posizione eccezionale. A 6 minuti a piedi dalla Cattedrale, e a 4 dalla Chiesa di San Salvatore. Si trova in un quartiere fornito di tutto, sia di giorno che di sera. Si trovano locali, ristoranti, gelaterie, kukuchurro.
  
  What could be improved: Mi è dispiaciuto dover aspettare un po' per la consegna delle chiavi all'arrivo. Probabilmente perché un giorno di festa.
