You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting just another rental apartment when I climbed those narrow stairs on Calle Peñuelas, but honestly, stepping into this penthouse felt like discovering someone’s incredibly well-kept secret. The thing about staying in Seville’s old town is that you’re usually cramming into these tiny spaces with paper-thin walls, but this spot actually gives you room to breathe – and I mean that literally, because you’ve got this terrace situation that looks out over the maze of orange tile roofs that makes the city so damn photogenic.

The location is what really sells it, though. You’re basically a three-minute stumble from the Cathedral (which, trust me, you’ll appreciate after a night exploring the tapas scene around Plaza del Salvador), but here’s the thing nobody tells you – being on Peñuelas means you’re tucked away from the main tourist stampede routes. I could actually sleep past 7 AM without hearing groups of cruise ship tourists clip-clopping past in their matching visors. The apartment itself has that perfect balance of old Sevillian character – think exposed beams and tiles that have probably been there since before your grandparents were born – mixed with modern stuff that actually works. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, and the kitchen has real appliances instead of those sad hostel hot plates.

What I really loved was how the owner clearly knows the neighborhood. There’s this little folder with handwritten notes about which bars stay open late (Bar Alfalfa is mentioned, and yeah, they’re right about that one), where to get groceries without paying tourist prices, and – this is key – where you can actually find parking if you’re crazy enough to drive in Seville. The walk to pretty much everything is manageable, even in July when the heat makes you question your life choices. Metropol Parasol is maybe ten minutes away, the river and Triana neighborhood are totally walkable, and you can stumble home from the Santa Cruz area without needing to figure out night buses or expensive taxis. I mean, the 8.6 rating makes sense when you factor in that you’re getting penthouse-level space and views in the heart of things, but without the chaos of being right on the main drags. It’s not perfect – the building is old, so sometimes you hear your neighbors, and the stairs might be a workout if you’re hauling heavy luggage – but honestly, for what you’re getting in this location, it’s pretty solid. Plus, there’s something genuinely satisfying about having morning coffee on that terrace while watching the city wake up below you.

    The location was perfect. Nestled in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars as well as popular landmarks.

    What could be improved: The roof top terrace was very inviting with exterior furniture with soft furnishings. Unfortunately we picked a week where the first 3 days were rainy, and so had no time to benefit from it as we were playing catch up with visiting the sites on our list !
    Otherwise the standard of the accommodation was superb. The photos do not exaggerate.

    The place and the host are amazing! The rooms were comfortable, the place is close to the city center, has an excellent terrace, the kitchen is full of utilities. Anything you need – you have it! The host answered and exceeded all my questions and expectations and gave us very good recommendation during our stay – quickly and on time!

    What could be improved: Parking is a bit a pain, but there are options nearby which the host gave us

    Myself, my wife, my sister and her son had a wonderful stay in this place.
    This triplex is everything we needed in Seville. First, it is located in old town, in the center,
    Just far enough from all the noise while still being downtown.

    The place was recently renovated. Everything smelled fresh and brand new, and had a lot of personal touches, in terms of style.

    On the top floor there is a very nice and spacious terrace with a brand new barbecue and a full kitchen. We really enjoyed the beautiful Seville weather out there.
    You can be out there at any time of the year, really.

    The rooms are quiet and cozy, there are plenty of bathrooms and the living room is vastly roomy, our nephew was having a ball running around and playing. He definitely slept well at night.
    Everything went smoothly, the hosts who received us were very nice and helpful.
    We can’t wait to be back!

    We were a group of 4 friends and absolutely loved the place. There is a huge living room, and the best part was the top floor terrasse that looks over the street and a church. We had great time time there doing a barbecue and relaxing on the outdoor sofas.
    The place was fully renovated, it's all clean and proper. The flat is fully equipped with everything that was detailed in the description / photos.
    And the location was perfect as we could walk to many great restaurants and access the different sites we wanted to visit from that point. There are several bus stops in walking distance as well.

    Amazing place with amazing location! Beautiful new interiors with a touch of Sevillano charm and very clean! It’s well lit with big windows. There’s a beautiful rooftop with a view and a barbecue.
    You could walk to almost everywhere in the center of Seville. It’s central but the street is quiet and not at all noisy.
    We stayed there as a couple but the place has a lot of space for families so we would definitely come back with more people.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

    Nice size flat

    What could be improved: No generic products i.e. soap, washing up liquid, tea towel,
    If you turn the dishwasher on it trips the fuse, and turns all power off.
    You have to put the door keys into a separate keyhole to turn the power/lights on, so it’s annoying to have to turn all the power off, just to nip out to shop – as you need keys to exit flat – this turns thermostat off.
    The bins have to be taken about 3 minute walk to empty in refuse bin.

    The house was clean throughout over 2 floors and on the 3rd floor was a roof terrace and laundry area. We liked the cleanliness and also great supply of towels and linen. Looks like it's been recently refurbished from top to bottom. Location is quite good , definitely the non tourist part of the town. Bit of a walk to first main part of town but plenty shops, bars etc on route. Kitchen well equipped. Even has kettle !

    What could be improved: The photos don't reflect the modern standard of the house. The living room furniture and layout could do with an upgrade/re-design for comfort. For a group of 6, 2 sofas needed for example . We moved the sofa to face the TV. Master bedroom would benefit from a dressing table under the mirror.
    Headboards on all beds and spare pillows would be a welcome addition too.
    washing powder, dishwasher tablets and tea towels would be good too as all other cleaning equipment was excellent.
