Hotel Description
You know what really struck me about Home2Book Amelia’s Pottery when I first walked in? The place actually feels like it belongs in Triana — and I mean that in the best way possible. This isn’t some generic hotel chain that could be anywhere in the world. The whole pottery theme makes perfect sense when you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s ceramic district, where you can still hear the hum of working kilns if you listen carefully in the early morning.
The location is honestly brilliant if you want to experience authentic Seville without the tourist crowds breathing down your neck. You’re right across the river from the cathedral and Alcázar, but here in Triana it’s like you’re in a completely different city — one where locals still hang laundry from wrought-iron balconies and old men play dominoes in the plaza. I loved walking down Calle Betis in the evening (it’s maybe a five-minute stroll) to watch the sunset paint the Giralda tower golden while sipping a beer at one of the riverside bars. The Puente de Triana is right there too, so getting to the main sights is actually easier than staying in the touristy Santa Cruz neighborhood, where you’d be fighting crowds just to leave your hotel.
What really won me over, though, were the small details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The rooms have this warm, earthy feel that echoes the pottery workshops scattered throughout the neighborhood — I’m talking hand-painted tiles and rich terracotta colors that somehow make the space feel bigger than it is. The kitchenette situation is legit too, which matters when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the Mercado de Triana (seriously, their fish counter is incredible) and make breakfast without paying hotel restaurant prices. Parking was surprisingly painless — they’ve got a deal with a nearby garage, and honestly, in this part of Seville, that’s worth its weight in gold. The staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood; when I asked about flamenco, they didn’t just point me to some touristy tablao but mentioned this tiny bar where locals go on Thursday nights. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward hovering around the lobby waiting for your room to be ready. The whole operation feels well-run without being stuffy — like staying with friends who have their act together. At 8.2 rating, it’s not perfect, but the imperfections feel human rather than neglectful. Sometimes the Wi-Fi gets a bit sluggish, and you might hear your neighbors if they’re really going at it, but honestly? That’s just old-world charm mixed with thin European walls. For the price point and the experience of actually living in Triana rather than just visiting Seville, it’s a solid choice.

Ivan from Croatia – 2 October 2024 (7/10)
The apartment was very nicely decorated. It had everything we needed, and the location was good.
What could be improved: The apartment should have been cleaner. There was a strange smell from the closet. The location in the building is very uncomfortable because if you open any window, everyone in the building can see inside your apartment.Ahmad from Canada – 6 May 2025 (9/10)
The home was beautiful located in an amazing area. The home being in the ground floor helped significantly

Yamile from Spain – 25 June 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: El sillón es bastante incómodo. Sergio from Spain – 7 May 2024 (7/10)
Muy limpio, bonito y bien ubicado. Tranquilo

What could be improved: Mucha humedad y pocos utensilios de cocinaNoelia from Spain – 20 November 2024 (8/10)
