The name makes it sound like some corporate rental – HOME@PORVENIR with that registration code and all – but honestly, it’s way more personal than that suggests. I mean, you’re basically staying in someone’s actual apartment on Calle Porvenir, and the host has clearly put thought into making it feel welcoming rather than sterile.

The location is what really sold me though. Portal 5 sits right in this residential pocket where you get authentic Seville life happening around you – I’m talking about the sound of shutters opening in the morning, neighbors chatting from their balconies, that sort of thing. You’re close enough to the action (the Cathedral’s maybe a 15-minute walk) but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds stumbling past your window at 2 AM. There’s this little café around the corner where locals actually go for breakfast – not the touristy spots with English menus, but the real deal where they know how you like your coffee after the second day. The apartment itself feels lived-in in the best way possible. The second floor setup means you get decent light without street noise being too intrusive, and whoever set this up actually understands what travelers need. I’m talking about enough outlets near the bed, a kitchen that’s actually functional (not just decorative), and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure is legitimately good, which you can’t take for granted in older Seville buildings.

What strikes me is how the 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be a luxury hotel – the furnishings are comfortable but not fancy, and there are those small apartment quirks like slightly uneven floors that remind you you’re in a centuries-old building. But the host clearly pays attention to details that matter. Fresh linens that actually smell clean, decent WiFi (tested it on video calls, works fine), and they leave you alone but respond quickly when you need something. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-passing dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. Honestly, if you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re living in Seville for a few days rather than just visiting, this hits that sweet spot. You’ll probably end up doing your morning coffee routine looking out at the neighborhood, maybe picking up groceries from the market down the street, getting into that rhythm where you nod hello to the same people walking their dogs. It’s not flashy, but it’s genuine – and in a city where so many places are either tourist traps or trying too hard to be boutique-y, that authenticity is worth something.

  The appartment was clean, well equipped, comfortable and spatious. Also it is in a gated community, so very safe. It is near to the Plaza espana.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom door is sliding, without a lock, and it doesnt close fully whitch is ok when traveling with family, not so convenient when traveling with colegues.

  Very well positioned, within walking distance to all major attractions, clean, well equipped, with free parking. Fast and easy communication, the host was super kind, quickly responsive to messages.
  
  What could be improved: We had problems with entering the building, but it was entirely our fault. We received detailed instructions for digital doors, but as we stayed in 4 cities in 7 days, it was just too much to read…
  And the blankets, the old fashioned woolen ones…

  Lo staff, gentilissimo, ha sempre risposto velocemente alle mie domande tramite il canale whatsapp. La struttura è molto accogliente e pulita ed è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi Plaza de Espana.
