You know what struck me first about this place? The moment you turn onto Calle Pérez Galdós, you can actually feel the energy shift – suddenly you’re in the heart of old Seville, but tucked away on this quieter side street that most tourists just walk past without noticing. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute stroll from the Cathedral, but the street itself has this lovely residential vibe where you’ll see neighbors chatting on doorsteps and kids playing football against ancient walls.

The house itself is honestly a gem – it’s got that authentic Sevillian character without feeling like someone’s trying too hard to be “traditional.” The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings that actually keep things cool (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer), and the floors are original tile that’s probably been there longer than any of us have been alive. What I really loved was how they’ve managed to modernize everything without losing the soul of the place. The kitchen’s properly equipped too – not just some token mini-fridge situation – which is perfect if you want to grab ingredients from the Mercado de la Encarnación just around the corner. Speaking of which, Thursday mornings there are absolutely magical, all these local vendors selling the most incredible olives and jamón you’ve ever tasted.

The parking situation is honestly a godsend if you’re driving – and I say this as someone who’s circled the Alfalfa neighborhood for forty minutes looking for a spot before. Most places in this area just shrug and tell you “good luck,” but having that optional parking actually makes a difference. The whole Alfalfa district gets pretty lively at night (there’s this tapas crawl thing that happens naturally around Plaza de la Alfalfa), but the house is positioned just right so you get the energy without the all-night noise. I slept really well, which doesn’t always happen when you’re staying right in the historic center. Honestly, the location is sort of perfect – close enough that you can stumble home after exploring the bars on Calle Mateos Gago, but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. The rating of 8.9 makes complete sense to me; it’s the kind of place that gets the big things right while nailing all those small details that make you feel like you’re actually living in Seville for a few days, not just visiting.

    Great location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. easy to walk to all the sites of beautiful Seville

    What could be improved: don't try to use the toaster and kettle at the same time 🙂 but if you do the fuse box is behind the door in the hallway so all good!

    The location was excellent! The house had everything needed. The only thing is that it was loud outside the house till past midnight, so it was hard to fall asleep. But its a small price to pay for the great location.

    What could be improved: It rained while we were there, so we did not go out as much as we would have wanted to. The living room could be a bit more warm for stay-in visitors.
