You know what caught me off guard about Hommyhome Sevilla? Walking up to this Passivhaus on Jesús del Gran Poder street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside – it’s tucked into this typical Sevillian row of buildings in the old town. But step inside and wow, the whole place just breathes differently. I mean that literally – the air quality is incredible, which you’ll appreciate after wandering around Seville’s dusty cobblestones all day. The owners really weren’t kidding about the “natural” part of the name; everything feels clean and fresh in a way that most hotels, even nice ones, just don’t manage.

The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the tourist circus. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Cathedral (I timed it), but Jesús del Gran Poder is one of those streets where locals actually live and work. There’s this little café around the corner where the barista remembers your order by day three, and honestly, that’s worth more than any hotel amenity. The rooms themselves are surprisingly quiet considering you’re smack in the center – that Passivhaus construction really does work. I stayed during Semana Santa week (which, if you’ve never experienced Seville during Holy Week, is basically controlled chaos), and I could barely hear the processions passing by. The design feels modern but not cold, if that makes sense. Lots of natural light, clean lines, but they’ve kept some character with local touches here and there.

What really sold me though was the attention to detail that you don’t notice until you do, you know? The shower pressure is excellent – and trust me, after walking 15,000 steps on Seville’s uneven stones, that matters. The air conditioning works perfectly (crucial for summer visits), and there’s actually decent storage space, which is rare in European hotels. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too; they sent me to this incredible tapas place on Calle Pureza that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be tricky in this part of town – well, parking is tricky everywhere in Seville’s old quarter – but they’ll help you figure out the closest garage. Is it cheap? No, but you’re paying for location, comfort, and that whole sustainable building thing, which honestly makes the air feel cleaner than anywhere else I’ve stayed in the city. If you’re the type who appreciates thoughtful design and wants to sleep well in the heart of one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, this place delivers. Just book early – word is getting out about this gem.

    Great reception from the staff who were able to accommodate our early arrival. Hosts very helpful with suggestions and sorting out minor problems. The house was very clean and in a great location to access shops and restaurants. Major sights 15-20 min walk. A quirky layout with lift that made all levels accessible.

    What could be improved: Would have liked more information concerning the layout. Interconnecting bedrooms did cause us some problems with 5 adults. Information says 4 bathrooms but only really 2 bathrooms – we presumed that there would be one bathroom for each room but one bathroom on the roof space and one toilet in the kitchen – this needs to be clearer in the booking information. Also need to check that everything is in working order when guests arrive. No electricity in lounge – TV , WiFi not working on arrival caused by trip in fuse box.

    This is a newly renovated house in the old part of Sevilla but outside the most touristic areas near the cathedral. The house design is very fine as is the energy-efficiency aspects. The location is excellent and interesting.

    What could be improved: Our problems concerned mostly defects in the house renovation. There are water leaks from rooftop, which might not be a concern during warmer parts of the year, and the plumbing system allows sewer gas into the house, mainly via the 2nd floor shower. The Hommyhome team seem to be very nice people but they are either very inexperienced or incompetent as they sent workmen to address these issues without success and while creating even bigger problems for us. After they left our 2nd floor toilet could not be used at all and all of the earlier problems remained. For our inconveniences, we were promised a refund of 15%, which seems minimal considering the amount of time lost and the problems caused.

    This could be a great property. But repairs are needed and the Hommyhome team needs to learn lots of lessons.

    Great location within walking distance to all main attractions with local bars & restaurants. Apartment was fab, lots of nice touches and the rooftop terrace was a real bonus.

    What could be improved: The 3rd bathroom was on the rooftop terrace and in different floor to bedrooms.

    Luxury house! With temperatures above 45 degrees in Seville, this house has an incredible insulation system, making it 24 degrees inside!
    It also has a terrace on the top floor perfect to enjoy at night, having a drink, with beautiful views of the city center.
    Cleanliness of 10, we simply did not find anything that was not immaculate.
    Perfect attention to the guest before/during and after our stay, with all the necessary information on displays with QR codes (restaurant suggestions, tourist information, Wi-Fi connection…)
    Without a doubt, I recommend it to enjoy a stay in this beautiful city!

    Roof terrace, lift, good size bedrooms, 2 en-suites.

    What could be improved: One shower drain hadn’t been cleaned properly which resulted in a flood. The water completely flooded the bedroom and went down to the bedroom below. We lost power as a result. The staff redacted quickly but the smell of mildew was overpowering for the remainder of our trip. No compensation was offered.

    Emplacement, decoration, confort, triplexe avec ascenseur su besoin. ideal pour un groupe d’amis en couple. Très bien isolé du bruit fenêtres fermées.

    Pas possible de dormir les fenêtres ouvertes avec le bruit de 2 bars à proximité.

    Ein sehr schönes, frisch renoviertes Haus in der Altstadt mit 4 Stockwerken. Super Lage wenn mann noch gut zu Fuß ist. Zentral und doch ruhig. Regelmäßige Reinigung und Handtuchtausch, Sehr schöne Bäder und Ausstattung

    What could be improved: Die Treppe ist eine Herausforderung! Durch unterschiedliche Schritthöhen und den hellen Holzbelag muss man extrem konzentriert herauf und herunter gehen. Zudem ist der Fahrstuhl 2 mal ausgefallen, weshalb wir ihn schließlich nicht mehr benutzt haben
