Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Hostal San Vicente II on Beatriz de Suabia – the street’s pretty busy and, well, it’s not exactly the postcard-perfect part of Seville everyone talks about. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you right off the bat.
The thing about staying in Nervión is that you’re actually living like locals do, not tourist-bubble living. There’s this great little coffee shop just two blocks down that opens ridiculously early (perfect if you’re one of those people who needs real caffeine before facing the world), and the metro stop at San Bernardo is close enough that you can get to the cathedral area in about fifteen minutes without dealing with the nightmare of driving in the old city. I mean, have you seen those streets? My rental car would’ve been wedged between two buildings permanently. The hostal itself has that lived-in feel that either works for you or it doesn’t – the floors creak a bit when you walk around at night, but it’s more charming than annoying, sort of like staying at your Spanish grandmother’s house if she happened to run a really well-organized little hotel. The rooms are clean (seriously clean, which matters more than fancy marble countertops when you’re actually living somewhere), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I slept better there than I did at some four-star place in Madrid that cost twice as much.
What really won me over was how the staff just… knows stuff. Ask them about getting to Triana for dinner and they’ll tell you exactly which bus to catch and where to get off, not just hand you a generic tourist map. They recommended this tapas place that’s definitely not in any guidebook – tiny spot where locals grab a quick bite after work – and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings but not crazy loud; you’ll hear people heading out for dinner around nine or ten (because Spain), but it settles down pretty reasonably. Parking can be a bit of an adventure if you’ve got a car – street spots are hit or miss, but there’s a parking garage about five minutes away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there for a few days. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, and you’re positioned perfectly to explore both the touristy bits and the real Seville without feeling like you’re staying in either extreme.

Small, cozy room with rain shower and a kettle! Aurora who works at the reception is very friendly and helpful – she tried to help with the poor WiFi connectivity to my room on the top floor though it still didn't work out!
What could be improved: No lifts at the hotel, so I had to carry my luggage up 3 storeys!Prince from India – 28 May 2025 (9/10)
Everything about the property was good. Location is good if not excellent but metro and bus stops are hardly 50-200 metres.

Wonderful staff!!!!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how much they helped me. I had a series of unfortunate events and they went way beyond the call of duty! My room was small but clean and cozy.
What could be improved: At first, it seemed pretty far away from the city center. But once I found out how easy it was to get around by public transportation and taxis, I enjoyed being in a real neighborhood.Shona from United Kingdom – 5 January 2025 (9/10)

Property was perfect for a short stay. Staff were friendly, they gave us several dinner recommendation too.
What could be improved: Property is approx 20 mins walking to Seville center; nevertheless metro station is super close and works perfectly.
Also, beds are kind of stiff.
