Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels in Seville, and Hotel Amadeus honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. When you first walk up to Farnesio 6, you might wonder if you’ve got the right place because the entrance is pretty understated for a 4-star spot. But that’s actually part of its charm, you know? It sits right in the heart of the old town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re literally surrounded by those narrow, winding streets that make Seville so magical. The Cathedral’s about a 5-minute walk, maybe less if you don’t get distracted by all the little tapas bars along the way (which, let’s be honest, you will).

What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend that authentic Andalusian architecture with modern comfort without making it feel forced or touristy. The lobby has this gorgeous central courtyard – very traditional Sevillian style with the white walls and intricate tilework – but the rooms are surprisingly contemporary. Mine had this fantastic view of the rooftops, and honestly, sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine watching the light change on the terracotta tiles… well, it’s exactly what you picture when you think about Seville. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too, not just the usual tourist recommendations. When I asked about flamenco shows, the guy at reception steered me away from the obvious touristy ones and pointed me toward this intimate little place on Calle Betis that locals actually go to. The AC works brilliantly (crucial in summer – trust me on this), and the beds are proper comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get stuck with.

Here’s the thing though – parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, since you’re deep in the pedestrian zone. But the hotel sorts it out for you, which takes the stress away. And yes, you’ll hear some street noise because, well, you’re in the middle of one of Spain’s most vibrant neighborhoods. But it’s the good kind of noise – people chatting over dinner, maybe some guitar music drifting up from a nearby plaza. It never felt disruptive, more like a gentle reminder that you’re experiencing the real Seville, not some sanitized hotel bubble. The breakfast is solid – nothing fancy, but proper jamón ibérico and fresh orange juice (this is Andalusia, after all). I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to feel like you’re actually *in* Seville rather than just visiting it. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between location, comfort, and authenticity.

  The room was so big, luminous, practical and very clean. Everything smelled so nice.

  Hotel is in a great location with really nice staff, The decor is amazing and immaculately kept. The roof terrace bar, jacuzzi and pool is a lovely touch with great views.

  It was a lovely hotel, beautiful interiors, very calming and nice quiet room as our doors opened out on to the internal courtyard rather than the street. Love the roof top bar and plunge pool. Did not have breakfast so I can't comment on that. Such a great location with all the main sights within easy walking distance and in my opinion, in the nicest area of the city. Lots of good restaurants close by.

  The Hotel Amadeus is unusually beautifully decorated, and has considerable space available to sit either on the roof (there is a series of little terraces) or in a number of pretty rooms within. It is a hotel with real character and we were warmly greeted on arrival. They also proved they could organise a taxi very efficiently despite being up an alleyway too narrow for cars to drive. The bar on the roof was efficient, and it was a lovely area to relax after we had checked out and before we left Seville.
  
  What could be improved: We were going to have breakfast, but there was a queue and no-one seemed to be attending to it. The room above ours had creaky floorboards.

  Absolutely everything. Location perfect. Lots of lovely spaces to relax and chill out. Great roof bar. Staff excellent in all respects. Suite really lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious- no tired buffet but a beautifully curated selection of delicious pastries and fruit. So perfect. I will be back.
